Once again the Annual Christmas Day Mushera Mountain Climb was a great success despite the Weather and as always the well supported Annual Climb always benefits Charities and Organisations in the Locality.
Aubane Social Club Secretary Noreen Kelleher recently presented €2040 to Donie Lucey Irish Community Air Ambulance proceeds of the Christmas Day Mountain Climb.
Aubane Social Club were the First Organisation Nationally to Fundraise for the Air Ambulance Service a number of Years ago and were delighted to be involved with andbe able to help such a vital Service again.

In February 1975 some 45 Years ago The Aubane Social Club was founded,to mark the occasion the Club are having a night out with dinner at the Auld Triangle on Friday 13 March 2020 at 8pm in Macroom with past and present members of the Club,there will be a Complimentary Bus leaving Aubane Community Centre at 7.15pm for anyone that wishes to avail of this,
John F Kelleher Chairman of the Social Club reports that the Club is going from strength to strength and the future is very bright,as usual for the Year ahead the Club have many activities and events planned.

Over the past 12 months the Aubane Social Club donated money to the following charities from the events they hosted.
January 2019 – €2000 following the Christmas Day Climb 2019 to Irish Community Rapid Response.
August 2019 – €1,000 to Marymount Community Palliative Care Team following the Marymount Coffee Morning hosted by John Kelleher Chairman, Noreen Kelleher Secretary and Gobnait Kelleher.
December 2019 – €250 was presented to Reach out Cancer Support Millstreet in memory of Late Ann Keane, Pound Hill, Millstreet who was a regular to our weekly set Dancing on Monday nights.
Following our Christmas Day Climb of Mushera this year we will make a donation to the valuable service in our community the Irish Community Rapid Response. ( Air Ambulance).
The proceeds of Christmas Day Climb 2019 are in Aid of the Aubane Community Centre Renovations Fund and the Irish Community Rapid Response. Thanks to all who supported the above fundraising events in 2019

Millstreet Vintage Club had an Outstanding Turnout for there Tractor Run in Aubane on Sunday last,a big thanks goes out to all the People who came along and supported the Event,Bernard Crowley of Millstreet Vintage Club who headed up the Event was delighted with the response with up to 40 Tractors taking the Road to Ballinagree Show,a great line up of Tractors were present and the Club would would like to thank each and Everyone of you for taking the time out in coming along to the Run,many thanks to all the Aubane Community Centre Team for making us so welcome with fabulous Hospitality and providing a Top Class Venue,to Millstreet Pipe Band for being present today ye were fantastic and a pleasure to Deal with,to the Media and Camera People thanks for all the coverage,to all the Team at Millstreet Vintage Club thanks for all the help and support,the Event would not have been the success that it was without all the help I got beforehand and on the day itself,it made my job very easy,to Mick Duggan and Willie Fitzgerald for driving me around the Route in the Lead Vehicle /Pace Car thanks Lads for doing a Top Class job in keeping the Event running so smoothly,and finally to all at Ballinagree Vintage for having us along,we were delighted to be part of what was a great Show,we got a great welcome and a super time was had and all blessed with great Weather too.
