That Their Good Deeds may not be Forgotten
Author Con Lynch
Author Con Lynch
10,000 years – that’s the amount of service to God and to humanity given in 28 countries, across 6 continents and several cities, by over 200 Nuns, Brothers and Priests associated with the parishes of Clondrohid, Kilnamartrya and Macroom.

They empowered the helpless, provided education and health-care for the poor, care and accommodation for the outcasts, the orphans, the elderly poor and those who were dying. They helped prisoners and empowered the helpless.

From their Irish homes, they brought generosity of heart, nobility of mind and dignity of spirit to share with the wider world and they left an awesome, beneficent legacy.

No profits will accrue to the author from this book but will instead be donated to charities that reflect the work of the 205 individuals whose awesome, beneficent service is outlined therein.

Millstreet Library – Friday 28th November 2025 – Thank you

A sincere thanks to everyone who attended the Age Friendly meeting, and to all those who came to welcome An Tánaiste and Minister for Finance during his visit to Millstreet Library last Friday.  It was a great honour for us that he chose the library as his first port of call in Millstreet.

We were delighted to showcase the library, highlight the events and workshops that take place here, and demonstrate just how much the library means to the community.  A library is truly the backbone of any community, and last Friday was a proud reminder of that.

I was also very proud to share our ongoing development, our new outdoor seating area designed for both adults and children. Please keep an eye out for further updates on this exciting project.

Thank you for all your continued support.
