Blackwater Valley Vintage Group presents a total of €5,354.10 to two fantastic local causes

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group was delighted to present a total of €5,354.10 to two fantastic local causes at Aubane Community Centre last Wednesday evening, September 9th.
❤️ R.O.C.S. Millstreet – €1,330.00
The first presentation was made to Reach Out Cancer Support Group Millstreet (R.O.C.S.), with Michelle O’Keeffe accepting the cheque.
The money was raised through our Jeep, Van & Vintage Tractor Run on July 26th, organised by Dan Barry and Jack Sheehan.
💜 The Alzheimer Society of Ireland –€4,024.10
The second presentation was made to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, with Lena O’Sullivan of St. Mary’s Day Care Centre, Mallow, accepting the cheque.
These funds were raised through our Vintage Car & Vintage Tractor Run on August 18th, organised by Luke Hurley and Jack Sheehan.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported our events throughout 2026 — those who took part, sponsored, helped organise and steward the runs, and everyone who made a donation.
Your fantastic support has allowed us to give back to these two organisations amongst others doing hugely important work in our local communities.
After a very successful 2026, we look forward to seeing everyone again in 2027 for more vintage vehicles, great events, friendship and fundraising.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group would like to extend a massive THANK YOU to everyone who travelled to Aubane on Sunday for our Vintage Car & Tractor Run, held in aid of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland

What a fantastic day it was! 🙌

The support we received was absolutely incredible, and we could not have put on such a successful event without the help and support of so many wonderful people.

A huge thank you to the Catering Crew in Aubane, who once again looked after us brilliantly with top-class food, refreshments and hospitality.

We were extremely proud to be able to hold our Vintage Car & Tractor Run in aid of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, supporting the fantastic work they do for individuals, families and communities throughout Ireland.

This is a cause that is very close to the hearts of many people, and we were delighted to be able to use our event to help raise awareness and support for the wonderful work carried out by the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to Lena Cleary from the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, who took the time to come to Aubane yesterday and speak to us about the organisation and the vital work they carry out.

Lena gave us a wonderful insight into the services, support and assistance provided by the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, and it was greatly appreciated by everyone involved.

It was particularly important for us to hear first-hand about the difference this fantastic organisation makes to so many people and their families. We are delighted that our event could play a small part in supporting such an important cause.

Monday Night Dancing finished in Aubane Community Centre for the Summer Season

Monday Night Set Dancing has now finished for the summer season at Aubane Community Centre.

Last Monday night was the final dance, so there will be no dancing this Monday night.

Set dancing will return again in September at Aubane Community Centre.

Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the dancing throughout the season. Enjoy the summer!

 

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Car Run happening on this coming Easter Monday April 6th supporting Mallow Search and Rescue

With just a few days left now to go to the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Vintage/Classic Car Run happening on Easter Monday April 6th here are a few details on the Event.

✴️–Location for Registration/Start is Aubane Community Centre Eircode (P51 EP49)
from 10.30am Leaving at 12 Noon.

✴️–All Vintage/Classic Cars Bikes Vans etc etc are very Welcome.

✴️–Complimentary Tea/Coffee Scones/Cakes etc
to be enjoyed at Sign On.

✴️–Nice Starters Prize for all Entrants.

✴️–Free Draw for all Entrants with plenty Spot Prizes to be won and Blackwater Valley Vintage Group wish to thank Everybody who have donated Prizes for the Event.

✴️–La Vita Ice Cream Van will be in attendance at the start in Aubane.

✴️–There will be Easter Eggs/Treats for the Kids.

✴️–Mallow Search and Rescue will be bringing some of there Equipment to the start of the Event in Aubane and there Volunteers will be on hand to tell you more about what they do.

✴️–A really nice route of almost 50km of good tarmac surface in the North Cork countryside has been layed on for this Run which finishes back in Mallow at The Arches Bar and Restuaran

✴️—There will be Music by Sheila Fitzgerald in the Arches at the Finish.

✴️–If you wish you can have a Meal to finish off the day at the finish in the Arches, details of Menu etc will be available at Registration.

✴️–Entry for the Event is by Donation.

✴️–If you don’t have a Vintage Classic Vehicle you are still very welcome to come along and see some nice Vehicles on the day and see what great work Mallow Search and Rescue do and you can join us for a cuppa and a chat as well.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group had a Great time on Sunday last up in Aubane despite the inclement weather with super support by each and every one of you who turned out for what was a great day out,we had 43 fantastic Vintage Tractors partake in our First Event for 2026 with special mention to the People that braved the elements without a Cab on there Tractor for the Run,and as ever a big shout out must go out to the Crew in Aubane Community Centre who looked after us so well as always with fantastic hospitality and a great Venue.

To all our Sponsors namely John Lucey Vehicle Recovery Boherbue Sean Murphy of the The Pub Carriganima,Rings Garage Carriganima Jack Murphy Agri Contractor Pj Murphy and Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Members who donated spot prizes for our Draw, thanks for your support. 

To all the Crew at Healys Bar Kilcorney who looked after us so well with Food and Refreshments when we returned to the finish thank you for your help and support.

We are very much grateful to all the Marshalls that took time out to help us along the Route today in what were very poor weather conditions,the Event would not run without your help and to everyone that helped out in anyway a big thanks to each and everyone of you,its very much appreciated.

The Photographers and Videoograpers and Media People who covered the Event on the run up to it and on the day we very much thank you for your support and for making the Trip to Aubane,as of now we raised €1,664.00 before expenses and this funding will be used to finance our Running Costs for the year ahead.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group will also once again make a donation to a Charity of its choice from today’s Event which will be announced in due course,and we look forward to seeing you all at our Events for 2026.🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚗🚗🚗🚗

Our next Event is our Car Run for Mallow Search and Rescue which will run out of Aubane on Easter Monday April 6th 🚗🚗🚗

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Vintage Tractor Run happening on next Sunday March 29th in Aubane

The first Event of the Year for Blackwater Valley Vintage Group will kick off on next Sunday March 29th with a Vintage Tractor Run for Pre-1996 Models, Registration for the Event will be based out of Aubane Community Centre Eircode P51 EP49 with Sign On from 10.30am and Take Off at 12.30pm Refreshments,Tea/Coffee Scones etc will be Served at Registration. 

The Run will make its way over a scenic Route on to the finish in Healy`s Pub Kilcorney where we will finish off with more Food and Refreshments with Buger Sauages plus Salad etc available at €10 which can be redeemed by a Voucher purchased at Sign On,for more Details Call Jack Sheehan on 083-3736016.

As this is our first Event for 2026 like last year we will be using the Event for to cover our expenses like insurance etc for the year ahead and also from last years Event we donated to a couple of local Groups recently in the Millstreet Area namely the Knit and Natter Group who make cosey blankets clothes etc to benefit people who dont be well and are in Hospital care, while we also donated to Millstreet Museum and our local website millstreet.ie who do great work in promoting any happenings and events in the locality, again the plan is to help out a couple of more local groups/charities etc from our upcoming Tractor Run like we did in 2025,so your support on the day would be most welcome.🚜🚜🚜🚜

Peter Lane and Blackwater Sound will be providing some Music Song and Dance at Aubane Community Centre P51 EP49 from 3pm-5.30 pm on tomorrow Sunday February 22nd.

As a Group Blackwater Valley Vintage Group would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who attended and who supported our Events since we were formed in 2024 and all through 2025,to our Friends in Aubane and Cullen Community Centres we thank you very much for the use of your Top Class Venues and for your help and support and the welcome we have been given,to all the Media Outlets and Photographers who attended and promoted our Events we say a big thank you to all of you for your support and help.
We ran 5 very successful Events and were delighted to be able to help along the way the Irish Kidney Association,  Bumbleance Childrens Ambulance Service,  Millstreet Mens Shed and Aubane Community Centre, your generous and continued support insured these great Groups very much benefited from our activities over the past 12 months.
To Everyone that helped us out in anyway over the past year we very much thank you for your help and support,we will do it all again in 2026 when once again Blackwater Valley Vintage Group have 5 Events planned for the upcoming year ahead starting with a Vintage Tractor Run on Sunday March 29th.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group support Aubane Community Centre

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group made a Presentation to the Crew at Aubane Community Centre last Wednesday Evening at the Centre with a Cheque for €2,691.20 following the Groups recent Vintage Car and Vintage Tractor Run held on Sunday August 17th

Event Organisers Bernard Crowley and Jack Sheehan were on hand to present the proceeds of the Event to the Chairman of Aubane Social Club John F. Kelleher and Committee who were delighted to get such support with John thanking the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group and the people who supported and contributed to the Event held back in August,John said the money will be put to good use for the upkeep and maintenance of the Community Centre which is a vital and integral part of the Aubane Community.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group are delighted to be associated with Aubane Social Club and since the Group was formed back in July 2024 they have been made very welcome in Aubane where they have been able use a top class facility in Aubane Community Centre which is ideal to hold there Events,Jack Sheehan and Bernard Crowley also paid tribute to the People in the locality who help out in the Running of there Events out of Aubane and to the Landowners in the locality for allowing us use there land for Parking when needed,they concluded by saying that they looked forward to working with the people of Aubane and Aubane Community Centre again in 2026.

Tribute to the Late Tom Meaney will be held in Aubane Community Centre on next Saturday September 13th

The Community of Aubane will pay tribute to the Late Tom Meaney on  next Saturday 13 September at 2.00 pm at Aubane Community Centre P51 EP49.

The Afternoon will commence with a Tree planting ceremony at 2.00 pm followed by Mass at 2.30 pm. Guest Speakers on the day will be Mr Dan Joe O Keeffe, Mr Barry Cogan & Mr Sean O Se.

Refreshments will be served on the day.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Car and Tractor Run happening this Sunday August 17th in Aubane supporting Aubane Community Centre

All Roads lead to Aubane tomorrow for the Blackwater Valley Vintage Car Run and Pre-1995 Vintage Tractor Run happening on this Sunday August 17th on what will be the Groups Final Event for 2025 which is in aid of the upkeep and maintenance of Aubane Community Centre.

The Aubane Community Centre Crew look after us very well as a Group and on next Sunday for our Vintage Tractor/ Car Run and in appreciation for us supporting them on our Event they will be giving complimentary Tea/Scones etc at Sign On and on Return to the Centre for the Finish of the Event there will be a Complimentary Cold Plate for all Entrants as well and also we have Sheila Fitzgerald giving us Musical Entertainment at the Finish,there will also be Spot Prizes and a free Draw on the Day also.

Registration is from 10.30am with Take Off at 12.30pm at Aubane Community Centre with the Event finishing back in Aubane Community Centre Eircode P51 EP49.

Entry for the Event is by Donation.

All Vintage Cars,Tractors,Vans,Bikes etc are very welcome with a nice Scenic Route promised for both Tractors and Cars.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group and Organisers Dan Barry and Jack Sheehan would like to thank people for there super support and for taking part for what was a great day out for the Groups Vintage Tractor and Light Comercials Run which was all in aid of the Men’s Shed Millstreet,we had over 50 fantastic Vintage Tractors and Light Comercials take part in a great drive out in favourable weather conditions.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group will kick off there 2025 Campaign of Vintage Events starting out with a Vintage Tractor Run on next Sunday March 30th,the group which was formed in July of 2024 plan on holding five events for the coming year and the Group are looking forward to meeting you in the year ahead. 

The Vintage Tractor Run happening next Sunday is for PRE 1995 Models with Sign On at Aubane Community Centre Eircode (P51 EP49) where Refreshments will be available from 10.30am with Take Off at 12.30pm,a nice Scenic 18 Km Route is promised with the event finishing at Healys Bar Kilcorney for Food and Refreshments with Music and Song by Peter Lane.

Registration is by Donation.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group are hosting 5 Vintage Events for the coming year ahead with the first Event of the Year for the Group kicking off on Sunday March 30th with a Vintage Tractor Run for Pre-1995 Models.

Registration for the Event will be based out of Aubane Community Centre Eircode P51 EP49 with Sign On from 10.30am and Take Off at 12.30pm Refreshments will be Served at Registration, Entry Fee by Donation,for more Details Call Jack Sheehan on 083-3736016.

The Groups second Event of the Year is happening on Easter Monday April 21st with The Group running a Vintage /Classic Car Run for the Irish Kidney Association.

All Vintage/Classic Cars Bikes Vans etc very Welcome to take part, Registration will take place at Cullen Community Centre Eircode (P51 YY06) from 10.30am with Take Off at 12 Noon, a Scenic Route of over 80km is on offer with the Event finishing at Bob’s on the Green Kanturk for Refreshments and Musical Entertainment,

Annual Christmas Day Morning Climb of Mushera on Wednesday 25 December at 10.30 am meeting at Millstreet Country Park Gate. This year the proceeds of the climb are going two charities CRITICAL (Critical Emergency Response) and The Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses. Bucket Collection on the Morning of the Climb.

Christmas Around the fireside a night of stories and Song on Sunday night 29 December at 8 pm.
