Blackwater Valley Vintage Group support Aubane Community Centre

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group made a Presentation to the Crew at Aubane Community Centre last Wednesday Evening at the Centre with a Cheque for €2,691.20 following the Groups recent Vintage Car and Vintage Tractor Run held on Sunday August 17th

Event Organisers Bernard Crowley and Jack Sheehan were on hand to present the proceeds of the Event to the Chairman of Aubane Social Club John F. Kelleher and Committee who were delighted to get such support with John thanking the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group and the people who supported and contributed to the Event held back in August,John said the money will be put to good use for the upkeep and maintenance of the Community Centre which is a vital and integral part of the Aubane Community.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group are delighted to be associated with Aubane Social Club and since the Group was formed back in July 2024 they have been made very welcome in Aubane where they have been able use a top class facility in Aubane Community Centre which is ideal to hold there Events,Jack Sheehan and Bernard Crowley also paid tribute to the People in the locality who help out in the Running of there Events out of Aubane and to the Landowners in the locality for allowing us use there land for Parking when needed,they concluded by saying that they looked forward to working with the people of Aubane and Aubane Community Centre again in 2026.

Tribute to the Late Tom Meaney will be held in Aubane Community Centre on next Saturday September 13th

The Community of Aubane will pay tribute to the Late Tom Meaney on  next Saturday 13 September at 2.00 pm at Aubane Community Centre P51 EP49.

The Afternoon will commence with a Tree planting ceremony at 2.00 pm followed by Mass at 2.30 pm. Guest Speakers on the day will be Mr Dan Joe O Keeffe, Mr Barry Cogan & Mr Sean O Se.

Refreshments will be served on the day.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group would like to thank Everybody who made the trip to Aubane on Sunday last for our Vintage Car and Tractor Run in aid of Aubane Community Centre.

Bernard Crowley and Jack Sheehan headed the Car and Tractor Runs and they wish to acknowledge the help they got in the lead up to the Event and on the day itself,to the Catering Crew in Aubane all we can say is that they looked after us so well with top class food and hospitality which they very kindly sponsored and supplied free of charge and also giving us the use of a top class venue in Aubane Community Centre,to the People of Aubane who helped on the day and made us so welcome and also allowed us the use of there properties for parking as well we thank you very much,to Sheila Fitzgerald
who provided fantastic music at the Finish we thank you for your help and support,to An Garda Siochana we thank you for your assistance in keeping the Event progress smoothly and safely on the Road and to our Bike Marshall Anthony and all the Marshalls out on the Route we could not have done this without your help,to the hardworking Sign on Crew who kept the paperwork all in order thanks for your help,a big thanks as well to John Tarrant and The Corkman for there coverage and support and to all the Photographers and Video people who came out on the day we thank you for your attendance and publicity of the days proceedings,to all our Sponsors of Spot Prizes for our Draw thanks for your support.

Finally to the 109 entries from people who brought either a Tractor or Car to Aubane from both near and far we are very grateful for your support for the Event we look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Car and Tractor Run happening this Sunday August 17th in Aubane supporting Aubane Community Centre

All Roads lead to Aubane tomorrow for the Blackwater Valley Vintage Car Run and Pre-1995 Vintage Tractor Run happening on this Sunday August 17th on what will be the Groups Final Event for 2025 which is in aid of the upkeep and maintenance of Aubane Community Centre.

The Aubane Community Centre Crew look after us very well as a Group and on next Sunday for our Vintage Tractor/ Car Run and in appreciation for us supporting them on our Event they will be giving complimentary Tea/Scones etc at Sign On and on Return to the Centre for the Finish of the Event there will be a Complimentary Cold Plate for all Entrants as well and also we have Sheila Fitzgerald giving us Musical Entertainment at the Finish,there will also be Spot Prizes and a free Draw on the Day also.

Registration is from 10.30am with Take Off at 12.30pm at Aubane Community Centre with the Event finishing back in Aubane Community Centre Eircode P51 EP49.

Entry for the Event is by Donation.

All Vintage Cars,Tractors,Vans,Bikes etc are very welcome with a nice Scenic Route promised for both Tractors and Cars.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group and Organisers Dan Barry and Jack Sheehan would like to thank people for there super support and for taking part for what was a great day out for the Groups Vintage Tractor and Light Comercials Run which was all in aid of the Men’s Shed Millstreet,we had over 50 fantastic Vintage Tractors and Light Comercials take part in a great drive out in favourable weather conditions.
As usual the Crew in Aubane looked after us very well as always with fantastic hospitality and a great Venue,we would also like to thank all our Sponsors who gave spot prizes for our Draw and to all the Crew at The Pub Carriganima and Yanks Chipper who made us feel very welcome at the finish in Carriganima,to Steve our Bike Marshall and all the other Marshalls that took time out to help us along the Route today we thank you all for your help,also the Registration and Sign on Crew who did a great job as always and to everyone that helped out in anyway a big thanks to each and everyone of you, its much appreciated,to Peter Lane who kept us entertained in Carriganima at the finish and a big thank you to An Garda Siochana for there help and finally to the Photographers and Videoograpers and Media People who covered the Event we thank you for your support and for making the Trip to our Event today, our next Event is a Vintage Tractor Pre 1995 and Vintage Car Run happening on Sunday August 17th which will be in aid of Aubane Community Centre who have been very good to us as a Group since we formed 12 months ago,we look forward to seeing you all again very soon 👍👍👌👌🚗🚗🚜🚜

Vintage Tractor Run happening next Sunday March 30th to kick off Blackwater Valley Vintage Group 2025 Campaign of Vintage Events

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group will kick off there 2025 Campaign of Vintage Events starting out with a Vintage Tractor Run on next Sunday March 30th,the group which was formed in July of 2024 plan on holding five events for the coming year and the Group are looking forward to meeting you in the year ahead. 

The Vintage Tractor Run happening next Sunday is for PRE 1995 Models with Sign On at Aubane Community Centre Eircode (P51 EP49) where Refreshments will be available from 10.30am with Take Off at 12.30pm,a nice Scenic 18 Km Route is promised with the event finishing at Healys Bar Kilcorney for Food and Refreshments with Music and Song by Peter Lane.

Registration is by Donation.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group are hosting 5 Vintage Events for the coming year ahead with the first Event of the Year for the Group kicking off on Sunday March 30th with a Vintage Tractor Run for Pre-1995 Models.

Registration for the Event will be based out of Aubane Community Centre Eircode P51 EP49 with Sign On from 10.30am and Take Off at 12.30pm Refreshments will be Served at Registration, Entry Fee by Donation,for more Details Call Jack Sheehan on 083-3736016.

The Groups second Event of the Year is happening on Easter Monday April 21st with The Group running a Vintage /Classic Car Run for the Irish Kidney Association.

This year the proceeds of the climb are going two charities CRITICAL (Critical Emergency Response) and The Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses. Bucket Collection on the Morning of the Climb.

Aubane Tractor Run Organised by Aubane Social Club on Sunday October 10th

We in Aubane are having a 30 Km Tractor Run on Sunday 10 October 2021 in Aid of Aubane Community Centre. Registration at 11.45 pm Run commences at 12.30. Refreshments on the day. It is the very first Tractor Run for the region. Also on the day Gerdie Buckley will reverse a Tractor and Trailer 5 km around the Aubane/ Mushera circuit. Guess how long it will take, Tickets 5 euro for 1 guess or 3 for 10 euro. 1st Prize 2 nights B&B &1 Dinner for 2 people in the The Park house hotel Galway City. 2 nd Prize voucher. Most Impressive Centenary Commemoration at Ivale on Sunday

Aubane Community Centre and Ballydaly Community Hall are two of three hundred locations across Ireland to get high-speed internet hubs while they await the arrival of the National Broadband Plan (NBP). National Broadband Ireland (NBI), said it will deploy “broadband connection points”, where the public can get free high-speed internet access, across the country from the second quarter of next year (2020).
