Millstreet Vintage Club AGM Report 2019

Millstreet Vintage Club held a very successful AGM at The Parish Centre in Millstreet on last Thursday Night Dec 5th
with a strong Attendance who heard Dan O`Riordan Club Secretary outlining and recapping on a very successful and busy year for the Club in 2019 with many great events being held over the year including a highly successful Charity Truck Run,Car Runs,Tractor Runs, Barbeque,Cars/Chat/Coffee Mornings,Model Show etc taking place and as a result the Club raised over €22,000 along the way during the year as well for some very worthy Charities including Alzheimhers, Millstreet Pipe Band,Cullen Pipe Band,Cork Simon,Bumbulance for Children,CART Rural Transport Carriganima and ICRR Air Ambulance.

Myra Sheehan Club Treasurer gave a detailed Financial Report for the year gone by while Club Chairman Donie Lucey in his address thanked all Club Members,Fellow Committee Members and anyone else who helped and supported the Club during the Course of the year gone by.

Millstreet Vintage Club are again planning on having a Busy year in 2020 with many of the Events held during the past year being planned again with the first Event of the year taking place on Sunday Jan 19 which will be a Cars/Coffee/Chat Morning in aid of Marymount Hospice to be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel,further details of this Event and all the other Events to take place during 2020 will follow shortly.

Intentions or Offering Tree in aid of Millstreet Community Hospital

A tree will be in the Bank of Ireland Millstreet branch from December 9th, 2019 to January 6th 2020, to raise funds for our local community hospital.  You write your intention or offerings on it and hang it off the tree and donate whatever you like. Your support is much appreciated.

This Friday 6th December – Switching on of Christmas Lights at Aubane Cross at 8 pm followed by Aubane Community Mass & Party at 8.30 pm in Aubane Community Centre with Refreshments and Entertainment.

Monday 23 December – Set Dancing Christmas Party Night.

Wednesday 25 December Annual Christmas Morning Climb starting at 10.30 am – Bucket Collection all proceeds going to Aubane Community Centre Renovations Fund.

Friday 27 December – Around the Fireside a Night of Songs,Music and Yearns at 8.30 pm in Aubane Community Centre.

Millstreet Calendar 2020 Now On Sale in Various Local Shops

The recently launched Millstreet Calendar 2020 is proving very popular and is now on sale throughout Millstreet in many shops and outlets.   Selling at €7.00 each – profits from this year’s Calendars are being donated to Millstreet’s Children’s Playground Development Project.   Many people have already posted multiple copies of the Calendar abroad to Relatives and Friends.
