Eily Buckley

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News Report 1234 from Millstreet. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this delightful calm, misty, autumn morning.

The untimely sudden death of popular 39 year old Connie Hickey, formerly of Main Street came as a great shock to all his family of six brothers, extended family and community members last week. The huge turnout at his removal and requiem was proof of how popular he was. Guards of honour were drawn from numerous sporting clubs, work places, and even the great Avonmore Electrical factory remained closed on the day of his funeral.

Fitting gestures to Connie who was so much part of what we are. May God console his grieving family and give the soul of gentle Connie eternal rest.
