A meeting of the Luíochán Cluainbainin 5~3~1921 Clonbanin Ambush Commemoration  Committee was held in Dromtariffe Parish Hall recently. The following officers were elected: ~

Annual Model Toy Show in Dromtariffe Hall on Sunday Oct 14th.

The countdown is on to the Annual Model Toy Show hosted by Millstreet Vintage Club in Dromtariffe Hall on Sunday Oct 14th. The Show is always a great day out and has something for everyone both Young and Old. Admission is €5 and Children are Free.

Set Dancing Classes with Five Time All-Ireland Champion

Patrick O’Callaghan will be holding set dancing classes in Dromtarriffe Hall from 10-11 am on Saturday mornings. He will teach various steps and sets for both fun and competition level. Ages from 5-18 welcome. REGISTRATION will take place for ALL previous and new members on Saturday the 9th of September at 10 am in Dromtarriffe Hall.

They are looking for people to do home baking, that will be for sale on the day. It is important that the home baking is well supported as this is always one of the most popular attractions at the Bazaar.

Special Autumn Event in Dromtariffe Hall This Wednesday

Mary O’Sullivan indicates that there will be a very special event on this Wednesday, 7th October 2015 marking Harvest Time at Dromtariffe Hall beginning with the celebration of Mass at 12:30pm followed by a sit-down meal (payment on the day).   Then follows an evening of music, dance and song.  (S.R.)

• Dromtariffe Parish Hall is delighted to announce the arrival of Santa Claus on Sunday 14th December. He will be in his grotto from 2 until 6. Children will get the opportunity to tell Santa what they want for Christmas and each one will also receive a gift. There will be refreshments served for parents as well as a DJ who will be playing some festive songs. Entry is €10 per family and there will also be a photographer present to catch the magical moment for a fee of €5.
• There will also be a céili in Dromtariffe Parish Hall on Saturday the 27th December starting at 9.30. Mountain Road will be performing on the night and it will definitely be a night not to be missed. €10 per entry and refreshments will be served.

Final Dromtariffe Parish Walk

2014-07-04 Dromtarriffe Parish WalkDue to the huge success of our recent walks, Dromtariffe Parish Hall will be running one more final walk on the 6th of September. This walk will be starting at the monument at Derrygallon at 4 o’clock.

A carpark will be available and signposted from the monument on the day. This walk will run in conjunction with an under 10’s girls football blitz in Rathcool football pitch. Afterwards there will be a celebration in the parish hall for everyone who took part in the walks over the Summer and the blitz.

There are a number of activities starting in Dromtariffe parish hall for the winter period so please follow us on Facebook for full lists of events and activities.

Directions (from Dromtarriffe Parish Hall): Go west towards Killarney for half a mile, take a right at the old cremery (towards Newmarket). Carry on straight that road and its is a turn to the right (3rd) i think. It will be signposted on the day fron the main road.

The walk went from the Ball Alley, Lyrevouscane to the Boeing, Dromsicane Castle. The dogs swam in the river and the crowd sang the Bold Thady Quill. Our 4th walk on Thursday 17th it starts from Derrinagree Church Car Park at 7.30p.m. Refreshments will be served after in the hall. We would ask people to please bring water with them.

* A family Funathon will run in Dromtariffe Parish hall on the 17th of August. There will be loads of happening on the day and lots more information in the weeks ahead.

The people of Dromtariffe were out in force again for the second parish walk on Thursday 3rd turned up on the night. The walk went from Dromtariffe Gaa grounds and traveled up by Rathcoole grotto onto Knockcahaill, Prohus and down by the airport. Our third walk on Thursday evening the 10th July at 7.30 is from the Ball Alley, Lyrevouscane to the Boeing, Dromsicane Castle. The walk will be signposted from the Derrinagree turn off (lower Keale Cross) and from Derrinagree. Refreshments will be served after in the hall.
