Presentation of Proceeds to CART Carriganima from Recent Charity Tractor Run

Last Friday Night November 12th at The Pub in Carriganima saw Millstreet Vintage Club make a Presentation to CART Carriganima a sum Total of €2885 which was the proceeds from the Clubs Charity Tractor Run that was ran on Oct 17 last to go towards the running of the CART Area Rural Bus Service based out of Carriganima,the amount of Money raised from the Event is a vital ingredient in keeping this important Service up and Running and will help in some way to keep the wheels in motion for a Service that is available to both the Community of Carriganima and a Wider Area beyond for Transport to Events like weekly Shopping Trips to Macroom and other Social Activities /Trips as required,
Millstreet Vintage Club Member Danny Lane who headed up the Running of the Charity Tractor Run paid Tribute on the Night to Everyone who made this Event the success that it was and wished CART the very best for the Future.
Millstreet Vintage Club are once again delighted to be associated with such a worthy Cause and the Club wish to thank CART Carriganima and all Associated with them
for there help along the way and we look forward to working with this great Group again in 2022.

Fantastic Turnout for CART Carriganima Charity Tractor Run Earlier Today

Millstreet Vintage Club and CART Carriganima wish to Thank Everyone for the Fantastic Support Today out there on what was there Biggest Ever Tractor Run to date,the Weather was superb with Crisp Autumn Sunshine greeting the 104 Tractors that took to the Road and conveyed through what was a lovely Scenic Route which wound its way back to the finish at The Pub in Carriganima where some Refreshments and a Fantastic BBQ were enjoyed by all,Event Clerk of the Course Danny Lane would like to thank all the Hardworking Marshals for keeping the Event Run so Smoothly,to Seanie Kelleher and Noel Kelleher on Bike Marshal Duty,also Thanks to Mick Duggan and his Co-Pilot Willie Fitzgerald for leading the Tractors out on the Road and keeping the Run progress so smoothly,to the Crew at Sign On many thanks for a great job,to Christy Ring Tractor Garage thanks for the continued support,to Dolly Ring and to Sean and Matt and Crew at The Pub in Carriganima for the Catering and Hospitality,to Peter Lane for keeping us all Entertained on Return to The Pub in Carriganima and to the Media and Photographers for covering the Event thanks very much for your help and again many thanks from CART Carriganima and Millstreet Vintage Club for the great turn out and Support from the Public on the day,it is very much appreciated.

Great Turnout for the First Millstreet Vintage Club Gathering in 18 Months

It may have been a Touch Wet and Miserable in Millstreet last Saturday Evening but any thoughts of this Dampening Proceedings for the Millstreet Vintage Club WELCOME BACK Run were quickly evaporated with an outstanding Turnout of almost 60 Cars lining out for what was to be the Clubs first Event in nearly 18 Months,it was great to catch up with some old Friends and also to welcome some new ones as well,Donie Lucey laid on a great Route of 40 Scenic Miles which despite the weather was a lovely Spin that included a stop in Ballinagree for Chips and Chat before heading on to Rylane,Nadd, Lyre and back into Millstreet for the finish, Donie wishes to thank all the help he got for Registration,Marshalling along the Route, Arrowing Management etc and also would like to thank An Garda Siochana for there help,also a big thanks to Connie Dennehy looking after us for Food in Ballinagree and to the Photographers and Media for covering the Proceedings,below is a selection of Cars that made the Trip to Millstreet on Saturday Evening last and once again we thank you all for the Support and we look forward to meeting you all again very soon.

Great Turnout for the Johnny Hickey Car Run last Sunday despite the Weather

Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank everyone who came along to the Clubs second Johnny Hickey Memorial Spring Car Run held on Sunday last, on what was a mixed day at times weather wise an impressive line up of 60 fabulous cars still made the journey to Millstreet to take part in the Event. Many thanks to each and everyone for making the Trip. The Cars left Millstreet just after 12 noon and were again like last year led out by the Millstreet Pipe Band with whom Johnny Hickey was a member of for many years. After the Cars left the town they made their way up Tullig heading out the Rylane Road and then on to Ballinagree and then turning left off the Ballinagree Macroom Road to progress on to Hanover Hall and on to the Macroom-Rusheen Road before it joined the Coachford to Dripsey Road with the Event then making its way on to a Tea/Coffee Stop at Griffins Garden Centre. From there the Run continued its way back to Dripsey where it turned off and headed on to Cloghroe and from here the Run made it’s way to Donoughmore, New Tipperary, and then on to Bweeng, before turning on to the Road to Grenagh to make it’s way to the finish at The Farm in Grenagh, where a very Welcome meal was enjoyed at the end of a most enjoyable Run.

Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank all the People that helped out which helped make the Event a great success:- to all the Marshalls, Arrowing Crew, Registration/Sign On, Route Layout etc many many thanks for all your help. Also, we wish to thank Millstreet Pipe Band, An Garda Síochána, Wallis Arms Hotel, Griffins Garden Centre, The Farm Grenagh, Photographers and Media People, and finally many thanks to the Hickey Family again for there support and for donating the Johnny Hickey Memorial Cup to Millstreet Vintage Club, and Congratulations to the second winner of this most beautiful Cup Denis O’Riordan for Best Car in his Toyota Cressida, a most worthy winner. We look forward to seeing you all again for the 2021 Johnny Hickey Memorial Spring Car Run.

Johnny Hickey Memorial Car Run on Tomorrow Sunday March 8th

The Annual Johnny Hickey Memorial Spring Car Run organised by Millstreet Vintage Club which will take place on tomorrow Sunday March 8th. Sign on for the Run is from 10.30am at the Wallis Arms Hotel. The Run will be led away from the Hotel at 12 noon by the Millstreet Pipe Band and will make it’s way across a lovely Scenic Route as it travels along to its first stop at Griffins Garden Centre in Dripsey, where we will have a break for Coffee. From there we continue through some lovely countyside as we make our way to the finish at The Farm in Grenagh where we will then adjourn for dinner after a busy day on the Road. All Vintage/Classic Cars, Bikes, Vehicles are very welcome to join the Run. The Johnny Hickey Memorial Cup will also be up for grabs for Best Car on the day. Fantastic Response to Recent Millstreet Vintage Club Marymount Hospice Coffee Morning

Following on from the recent Cars Coffee and Chat Morning held on Sunday Jan 22nd last and also the End of Year Club Social Activites held back in November which were Organised by
Millstreet Vintage Club a final figure of €2,100.69 was raised in Total from these Events for Marymount Hospice,the Vintage Club would like to thank Everybody for there fantastic support and generosity.
A Cheque for the final figure raised was presented by Millstreet Vintage Club to Marymount Hospice in Millstreet on Friday Night Feb 21st last at The Wallis Arms Hotel in Millstreet,Fiona Kelleher of Marymount accepted the Cheque on behalf of the Group from Coffee Morning Organiser Daniel Lane and Fiona thanked the Generosity of People for supporting such a great Cause in Marymount Hospice and said it would be a great help for the Groups Activities.

A Great Night was had at the Millstreet Vintage Club Charity Pub Quiz in aid of the ICRR Air Ambulance Service held in McCarthys Bar Millstreet on Friday Night last,there was a super Turnout and Myra Sheehan Event Organiser and the Club wishes to thank everyone who took part on the Night,the Club would also like to thank Joanne in McCarthys Bar for providing a great Venue,Denis Cremin for being a fantastic Quiz Master,Noreen Meade for checking the Answers and keeping the Scoring updated and Denis Lane for the use of his Amplification Equipment and to John Tarrant,Daniel Lane and Sean Radley for coming along to take some Photos,also many thanks to the people who donated Spot Prizes for the Draw held as well, Many Congratulations to the Winning Team  and to the people that won Spot Prizes on the Night also.

Outstanding Turnout for Millstreet Vintage Club Charity Coffee Morning in aid of Marymount Hospice

Their was a great turnout earlier today at The Wallis Arms Hotel in Millstreet for the Millstreet Vintage Club Cars Coffee Chat Morning which was held in aid of Marymount Hospice. The Vintage Club would like to thank everybody that attended the event and for their fantastic support and generosity on the day.
Daniel Lane of Millstreet Vintage Club who coordinated the event was delighted with the turnout with in excess of 40 Vintage and Classic Cars/Bikes making the trip to Millstreet for what was a most enjoyable days proceedings. The Club would also like to thank Billy, Nigel, and all the Team at the Wallis Arms for all their help and for providing a great venue, and Daniel Lane also wishes to thank the Vintage Club Members and Friends who helped on both the lead up to the event and on the day itself. Also, many thanks to An Garda Síochána for their help and to the photographers and members of the local press who attended on the day to promote the proceedings for both Millstreet Vintage Club and Marymount Hospice.
A final figure from the Coffee Morning will be released soon which will be then presented by Millstreet Vintage Club to Marymount Hospice in the very near future.

Millstreet Vintage Club AGM Report 2019

Millstreet Vintage Club held a very successful AGM at The Parish Centre in Millstreet on last Thursday Night Dec 5th
with a strong Attendance who heard Dan O`Riordan Club Secretary outlining and recapping on a very successful and busy year for the Club in 2019 with many great events being held over the year including a highly successful Charity Truck Run,Car Runs,Tractor Runs, Barbeque,Cars/Chat/Coffee Mornings,Model Show etc taking place and as a result the Club raised over €22,000 along the way during the year as well for some very worthy Charities including Alzheimhers, Millstreet Pipe Band,Cullen Pipe Band,Cork Simon,Bumbulance for Children,CART Rural Transport Carriganima and ICRR Air Ambulance.

Myra Sheehan Club Treasurer gave a detailed Financial Report for the year gone by while Club Chairman Donie Lucey in his address thanked all Club Members,Fellow Committee Members and anyone else who helped and supported the Club during the Course of the year gone by.

Millstreet Vintage Club Presentation to CART Group in Carriganima

A Great Night was had last night at The Pub in Carriganima where Millstreet Vintage Club Members made a presentation to CART Carriganima of €1,177.50 proceeds from the Charity Tractor Run the Club ran last September to go towards their running costs for the Area Rural Bus Service. Presentation to CART on next Saturday Night November 9th at The Pub in Carriganima

A Presentation will be made to CART Carriganima following the Recent Millstreet Vintage Club Tractor Run at The Pub in Carriganima on next Saturday Night Nov 9th at 9pm, Everybody Welcome.

Biggest Model/Toy Show ever held in K and L last Sunday

In what was a Record Breaking attendance on Sunday last at the Millstreet Vintage Club Model and Toy Show,the Club wishes to thank Everybody who both attended,took part and helped in any way with what was the Vintage Clubs fifth and most successful Model Toy Show to date held this year for the first time at a new venue up in the K and L facility in Millstreet.

The new  venue at K and L brought with it more space as the Show has grown and grown year by year which meant the Vintage Club had to make the move to K and L this year from the previously used venue at Dromtariffe Hall which had served the Club so well over the past 4 years,the Club wish to thank Gordon and Breeda O’Keeffe and all of the Staff at K and L for the use of such a fantastic facility and for all there help and also want to thank Cloverhill Foods for the use of there parking facilities.


We also wish to thank Dromtarriffe Hall for the use of some of there Equipment on the day,and many thanks also to Burton Homevalue Hardware Kanturk, Greenvalley Transport & Plant Hire,Seanie Walsh Traffic Management,Buckley Electrical & Appliances,for all there help.

To the Photographers and Media who helped us promote the Event on both the lead up and on the day itself we thank you for your help and to the Hardworking Team who were involved all weekend to help Set-up Run and Tidy up after the Event,without the help of each and everyone of you the Event would not be able to function,there were fantastic Displays on Show from Exhibitors who came from both near and far and once again Event Organiser Donie Lucey and all at Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank Everybody for there support and look forward to seeing ye all again Next Year. Millstreet Vintage Club Model Toy Show this Sunday October 13th

We are almost there now with just Hours to go to the Annual Model Toy Show hosted by Millstreet Vintage Club which will take place on this coming Sunday Oct 13th.
This Year the Event is heading to a New Venue up at the K and L Transport Depot in Millstreet,the Show is always a great day out and has something for everyone both Young and Old,amongst some of the Attractions at the Event is an appearance by 3 Brothers namely Jerome,Conall,and Donagh from Glandore who starred on last years Late Late Toy Show where they made a big impression showcasing there Skills,also there will be a Fabulous display of Irish Dolls Houses
plus a display of Miniture House Furnishings,Curtains and Kitchen ware.
The Lego Display and Play Area which will be in attendance will be an experience not to be missed for all Lego Fans,plus the Biggest Remote Control Display of the Year will be on display at the Show as well and both Kids and Adults alike will be able to show off there Remote Control Driving Skills by taking part in a Remote Control Tractor Driving Challenge over a specially Layed out Course,if you are a Fan of Remote Control Models and in particular Tractors you cannot miss this and as usual there will be plenty more to see and do on the day and the Event has the makings of a great day out.

Doors Open at 10.30am
Admission is €5 and Children are Free.
