Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank everyone who came along to the Clubs second Johnny Hickey Memorial Spring Car Run held on Sunday last, on what was a mixed day at times weather wise an impressive line up of 60 fabulous cars still made the journey to Millstreet to take part in the Event. Many thanks to each and everyone for making the Trip. The Cars left Millstreet just after 12 noon and were again like last year led out by the Millstreet Pipe Band with whom Johnny Hickey was a member of for many years. After the Cars left the town they made their way up Tullig heading out the Rylane Road and then on to Ballinagree and then turning left off the Ballinagree Macroom Road to progress on to Hanover Hall and on to the Macroom-Rusheen Road before it joined the Coachford to Dripsey Road with the Event then making its way on to a Tea/Coffee Stop at Griffins Garden Centre. From there the Run continued its way back to Dripsey where it turned off and headed on to Cloghroe and from here the Run made it’s way to Donoughmore, New Tipperary, and then on to Bweeng, before turning on to the Road to Grenagh to make it’s way to the finish at The Farm in Grenagh, where a very Welcome meal was enjoyed at the end of a most enjoyable Run.
Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank all the People that helped out which helped make the Event a great success:- to all the Marshalls, Arrowing Crew, Registration/Sign On, Route Layout etc many many thanks for all your help.
