Millstreet Horse Show has been in full flow all week, and bigger than ever. Millstreet Country Park will be hosting the first ever Family Cycle Fest on the 24th and 25th of August. Full programme of events is available on a post earlier this week. Superbly Friendly Celebrity Chef Neven Maguire Wins the Hearts of All on His Visit to O’Leary Family Craft Butchers at The Square on Thursday
We now share 171 more pictures recording a truly historic day in Millstreet when Neven was very warmly greeted by a splendidly enthusiastic assembly of people. Lots of books were signed, numerous photographs taken, hugely helpful cooking tips shared, marvellous humour and conversation enjoyed – plus a superb variety of delicious refreshments provided by O’Leary Family Craft Butchers utterly enjoyed by the many visitors and callers to the most memorable event. Neven gave a truly excellent interview to LTV2 – speaking so sincerely from the heart. A true gentleman in every respect as well as being such a renowned and enormously popular television chef personality. Following over two hours of total commitment in Millstreet – Neven, having received directions from Jerry O’Leary, set off for Inchigeela where he was to be one of the very special celebrities featuring at a highly prestigious event there. The LTV2 Team extends sincere thanks for such kind and much appreciated support received yesterday and today (14th/15th August 2013) at the Church Gate Collections in Ballydaly, Cullen and Millstreet. Thank You for Supporting Millstreet Museum/Tourist Information Centre and the Millstreet Website at Last Weekend’s Church Gate Collection
Many thanks to everyone who kindly supported last weekend’s Church gate Collection in Millstreet in aid of Millstreet Museum/Tourist Information Centre and the Millstreet Website. The amount collected was €1,884.88. This money will cover the two annual costings relating to our Millstreet Website and it will also assist in the very costly restoration programme at our Museum Centre in Carnegie Hall as well as partly fund the ongoing costs of insurance, lighting, heating and communications. Dia is Mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News Report 1180 from Millstreet. Fondest Greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this beautiful autumn morning.The stage is set at the Mighty Green Glens Complex for another showstopping extravaganza of Equine events.This years Show promises to be the best to date and we’ve had some good ones. Starting on tomorrow Wednesday it will build up as the days go on to agreat grand finale on Sunday afternoon. The weather forecast is good.Admission is free from beginning to end and so is parking. There is a prize fund of over €180,000. (Thousand)
The Show jumps themselves have been brought over from London having graced the equine events there for the Olympic
Games.
Teams of staff will be there to see that everything runs smoothly and according to plan.Please look up the Green Glens Website for all the details.
There will be lots of Trade Stands, Various food outlets. Ample seating, and toilet facilities.
Our Summer Horse Show is special in this year of the Gathering. Come and be part of it.
