Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Car Run happening on this coming Easter Monday April 6th supporting Mallow Search and Rescue

With just a few days left now to go to the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Vintage/Classic Car Run happening on Easter Monday April 6th here are a few details on the Event.

✴️–Location for Registration/Start is Aubane Community Centre Eircode (P51 EP49)
from 10.30am Leaving at 12 Noon.

✴️–All Vintage/Classic Cars Bikes Vans etc etc are very Welcome.

✴️–Complimentary Tea/Coffee Scones/Cakes etc
to be enjoyed at Sign On.

✴️–Nice Starters Prize for all Entrants.

✴️–Free Draw for all Entrants with plenty Spot Prizes to be won and Blackwater Valley Vintage Group wish to thank Everybody who have donated Prizes for the Event.

✴️–La Vita Ice Cream Van will be in attendance at the start in Aubane.

✴️–There will be Easter Eggs/Treats for the Kids.

✴️–Mallow Search and Rescue will be bringing some of there Equipment to the start of the Event in Aubane and there Volunteers will be on hand to tell you more about what they do.

✴️–A really nice route of almost 50km of good tarmac surface in the North Cork countryside has been layed on for this Run which finishes back in Mallow at The Arches Bar and Restuaran

✴️There will be Music by Sheila Fitzgerald in the Arches at the Finish.

✴️–If you wish you can have a Meal to finish off the day at the finish in the Arches, details of Menu etc will be available at Registration.

✴️–Entry for the Event is by Donation.

✴️–If you don’t have a Vintage Classic Vehicle you are still very welcome to come along and see some nice Vehicles on the day and see what great work Mallow Search and Rescue do and you can join us for a cuppa and a chat as well.

Upcoming Events hosted by Blackwater Valley Vintage Group

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group are running a couple of Events over the next few weeks.

The first Event of the Year for Blackwater Valley Vintage Group will kick off on Sunday March 29th with a Vintage Tractor Run for Pre-1996 Models,Registration for the Event will be based out of Aubane Community Centre Eircode P51 EP49 with Sign On from 10.30am and Take Off at 12.30pm and the Run wil finish at Healys Pub Kilcorney,Refreshments will be Served at Registration, Entry Fee by Donation,for more Details Call Jack Sheehan on 083-3736016.

Our second Event for 2026 is a Vintage/Classic Car Run on Easter Monday April 6th again based out of Aubane Community Centre Eircode (P51 EP49). 

Sign on for the Event will be from 10.30am with Take Off at 12 noon in Aubane where Entry will be by Donation and Refeshments will be served and the beneficiary from the Event will be Mallow Search and Rescue Group with a nice Scenic Route promised that will make it’s way to the Finish at the Arches Pub in Mallow where you can have Dinner to Finish the day. 

The Event is open to all Vintage/Classic Cars Bikes Vans etc.

🚜 Dromtarriffe Vintage Club say Thank You  for your Support 🚜

What a day we had for the tractor run in aid of Marymount University Hospice, held on on Sunday March 1st in memory of Jerry O’Leary.

Even with the weather against us, the turnout and support was unreal, and we’re delighted to say we raised a total of €3,020 for Marymount 🎉

A big thanks to everyone who came out, took part, donated, or gave a hand in any way at all — it wouldn’t happen without ye.

Special thanks as well to K&L Deliveries, Millstreet for the use of their yard, and to Dromtariffe GAA Club for having us at the finish — we really appreciate it.

Also a special thanks to An Garda Síochána for the assitance at junctions along our route, its always greatly appreciated.

It was a lovely way to remember our dear friend Jerry and support a great cause.

As a Group Blackwater Valley Vintage Group would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who attended and who supported our Events since we were formed in 2024 and all through 2025,to our Friends in Aubane and Cullen Community Centres we thank you very much for the use of your Top Class Venues and for your help and support and the welcome we have been given,to all the Media Outlets and Photographers who attended and promoted our Events we say a big thank you to all of you for your support and help.
We ran 5 very successful Events and were delighted to be able to help along the way the Irish Kidney Association,  Bumbleance Childrens Ambulance Service,  Millstreet Mens Shed and Aubane Community Centre, your generous and continued support insured these great Groups very much benefited from our activities over the past 12 months.
To Everyone that helped us out in anyway over the past year we very much thank you for your help and support,we will do it all again in 2026 when once again Blackwater Valley Vintage Group have 5 Events planned for the upcoming year ahead starting with a Vintage Tractor Run on Sunday March 29th.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group support Aubane Community Centre

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group made a Presentation to the Crew at Aubane Community Centre last Wednesday Evening at the Centre with a Cheque for €2,691.20 following the Groups recent Vintage Car and Vintage Tractor Run held on Sunday August 17th

Event Organisers Bernard Crowley and Jack Sheehan were on hand to present the proceeds of the Event to the Chairman of Aubane Social Club John F. Kelleher and Committee who were delighted to get such support with John thanking the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group and the people who supported and contributed to the Event held back in August,John said the money will be put to good use for the upkeep and maintenance of the Community Centre which is a vital and integral part of the Aubane Community.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group are delighted to be associated with Aubane Social Club and since the Group was formed back in July 2024 they have been made very welcome in Aubane where they have been able use a top class facility in Aubane Community Centre which is ideal to hold there Events,Jack Sheehan and Bernard Crowley also paid tribute to the People in the locality who help out in the Running of there Events out of Aubane and to the Landowners in the locality for allowing us use there land for Parking when needed,they concluded by saying that they looked forward to working with the people of Aubane and Aubane Community Centre again in 2026.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Presentation to Millstreet Mens Shed

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group made a Presentation to Millstreet Mens Shed last Wednesday Evening August 20th at there Premises on the Macroom Road with a Cheque for €1,110 following the Groups recent Light Comercials/Van and Vintage Tractor Run held on July 27th.

Event Organiser Dan Barry was on hand to present the proceeds of the Event to Liam O’Flynn and the Mens Shed Crew who were delighted to get such support with Liam thanking the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group and the people who supported and contributed to the Event held on July 27th last and Liam gave an outline of the great work the Mens Shed Group does in the locality.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group are delighted to be associated and be able help the Men’s Shed Group whose work creates places of belonging, participation,mutual respect,companionship and community for there Members.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group and Organisers Dan Barry and Jack Sheehan would like to thank people for there super support and for taking part for what was a great day out for the Groups Vintage Tractor and Light Comercials Run which was all in aid of the Men’s Shed Millstreet,we had over 50 fantastic Vintage Tractors and Light Comercials take part in a great drive out in favourable weather conditions.
As usual the Crew in Aubane looked after us very well as always with fantastic hospitality and a great Venue,we would also like to thank all our Sponsors who gave spot prizes for our Draw and to all the Crew at The Pub Carriganima and Yanks Chipper who made us feel very welcome at the finish in Carriganima,to Steve our Bike Marshall and all the other Marshalls that took time out to help us along the Route today we thank you all for your help,also the Registration and Sign on Crew who did a great job as always and to everyone that helped out in anyway a big thanks to each and everyone of you, its much appreciated,to Peter Lane who kept us entertained in Carriganima at the finish and a big thank you to An Garda Siochana for there help and finally to the Photographers and Videoograpers and Media People who covered the Event we thank you for your support and for making the Trip to our Event today, our next Event is a Vintage Tractor Pre 1995 and Vintage Car Run happening on Sunday August 17th which will be in aid of Aubane Community Centre who have been very good to us as a Group since we formed 12 months ago,we look forward to seeing you all again very soon 👍👍👌👌🚗🚗🚜🚜

The date is set for the next event being hosted by Dromtarriffe Vintage Club which is a Vintage Car Run in aid of the Irish Wheelchair Association which will take place on tomorrow Sunday 13th July.

The Club welcome all Vintage & Classic Cars to the Event which will be based out of Dromtariffe G.A.A. Grounds.

A Big Thank You from Blackwater Valley Vintage Group

On Friday Evening May 16th Blackwater Valley Vintage Group and the Fleming Family made a joint Presentation to the Irish Kidney Association over in Cullen Community Centre,the Final sum of €8,778.10 was the proceeds from the Groups Vintage Car Run held on Easter Monday along with the support received by Brian Fleming and his Family for the Event.

were on hand to make the Presentation and the Irish Kidney Association Representatives thanked everyone that supported the Event and said the financial support gained from the Event will be of great benefit to the Groups Work.

As a group Blackwater Valley Vintage Group along with Brian and the Fleming Family would like to thank Everyone for there fantastic support and wonderful generosity which brought about such a fantastic amount of money from the Event and we were all delighted to be associated and be able to help out such a great Organisation in the Irish Kidney Association.

For the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group it was an honour and a privilege to be asked by Brian Fleming and the Fleming Family to organise and host the Event and help out such a great cause,all we can say is that the Flemings as well as the Irish Kidney Association were an absolute pleasure to work with and we are very grateful for there help which along with the support of the Public made this Event such a success.

It was with great pleasure that Dromtariffe Vintage Club presented the donations made from there recent events in aid of Marymount University Hospice and Dromagh School Parents’ Association. We raised a total of €3,486.35 for Marymount University Hospice and €1,006.85 for Dromagh School Parents’ Association.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Launch of Car Run for Irish Kidney Association happening on Easter Monday April 21st

The Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Crew recently held an Event Launch and Photo Shoot opportunity to officially Launch the Groups second Event of the Year which is a Vintage Car Run in aid of a great Cause in the Irish Kidney Association which takes place on next Easter Monday April 21st.

The Launch which took place with a fantastic backdrop of the Blackwater being the centre piece of the Photo Shoot which was photographed by our own Seán Radley had some of the Group Members and there Vintage Cars on Display along with the beautiful Blue Mark 2 Ford Escort which was brought along to the Launch by Marie Fleming from Cullen, the Fleming Family are great supporters and advocates of the Irish Kidney Association and Blackwater Valley Vintage are delighted to be associated with such a wonderful Charity and Family.

There was a great gathering for Dromtariffe Vintage Club’s Christmas Breakfast Meet last Sunday Morning at the Kerryway Restaurant, Thank you to everyone who came along.

The Club recently presented €1,115 to Dromtarriffe G.A.A. Club in aid of their new pitch development project from there Tractor Run held on November 3rd last,thank you to all who supported this event.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group had the pleasure of handing over a Cheque for €1123.90 to Cullen and District Special Needs Association following the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Ladies Car Run held back on September 21st last,we were delighted to be associated with such a great Group who do absolutely fantastic work in the North Cork Region,the Cheque Presentation took place on Saturday Afternoon December 7th at Cullen Community Centre where Cullen and District Special Needs Association held there Annual Christmas Party in what was a most welcoming and enjoyable occasion we thank our Group Member Sean Radley for the Photos 📸📸

Great Turnout for Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Car Run in aid of Cullen and District Special Needs Association

The Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Ladies namely Mairead,Ita and Breeda would like to thank Everyone for there support and help on Saturday in the recently formed Vintage Groups second ever Event which was the Car Run organised by the 3 Ladies for Cullen and District Special Needs Association based out of Aubane Community Centre,we had 55 entries on the day and we thank you all for making the Trip,the Weather was perfect and a lovely Route awaited People which passed through places like Moll Carthys Bridge,Mount Hillery,Gortroe,Bweeng before making its way to the Farm in Grenagh where we were so well looked after with Food and Refreshments and Entertainment supplied by Sheila Fitzgerald,also we would like to thank the Outstanding Crew in Aubane who once again looked after everyone so well and provide us with a top class venue as a meeting point,to Vy Ha and Mahilet O’Leary for there lovely Harp Playing in Aubane,thank you very much,also we want to thank the dedicated Bike Marshalls,Marshalls on the Roadside,Sign On Crew,Arrowing Crew and An Garda Siochana for keeping the Event flowing so well,a big shout out as well to the Media and Photographers who promoted the Event on the day and on the Run up to it and to the People who gave Spot Prizes we thank you for your support.

We look forward to our next Event and your Company very soon.

The Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Lady Members are Running a Vintage/Classic Car Run on tomorrow Saturday September 21st starting at 2pm from Aubane Community Centre Eircode (P51 EP49), Sign on for the Event will be from 12 noon and the beneficiary will be Cullen and District Special Needs Association who do great work in the Locality while the Route for the Event will take in a Scenic Format that will make it’s way to the Finish at the Farm Grenagh where you can avail of Refreshments along with Musical Entertainment provided by Vy Ha and Mahilet O’Leary in Aubane before the start of the Event while Sheila Fitzgerald will provide some Musical Entertainment in Grenagh where you will have the opportunity also to see the exhibits in the Farm.

Millstreet Vintage Club 2024 Circuit of Ireland Stages Revisited happening next Sunday July 7th

The Millstreet Vintage Club Circuit of lreland Rally Stages REVISITED is approaching fast with the Event being in aid of Blackwater Critical CFR and is happening on next Sunday July 7th.

Those wishing to take part can Sign on from 9:30am with the Run Starting at 11:30am SHARP from Dromtariffe Community Centre on the N72 Mallow killarney Road Eircode (P51 KC52)
This year we revisit 3 Old Circuit of Ireland Stages,
Stage 1 – DOIRE NA GROI
Stage 2 – CUILINN UI CAOIBH,
Stage 3 – BREANNAGH RIVER OR (KNOWN LOCALLY AS THE SUGAIN ROAD)
The Finish will be in Ballydesmond and its all In Aid of CRITICAL Blackwater Community First Responders Group .

Millstreet Vintage Club Bumbleance Summer Car Run happening on this coming Saturday Evening June 22nd

With just a day to go now to the Millstreet Vintage Club Summer Car Run which is taking place on Saturday Evening June 22nd the Event is once again in Aid of BUMBLEance Children’s Ambulance and is open to All Vintage/Classic Cars Bikes Vans Trucks etc,

Since the first Summer Car Run held for Bumbleance back in 2019 a total of €14.203.13 has been collected which is a fantastic amount of money raised especially when you take into consideration that Covid 19 stopped many Events from happening and fundraising for Charitable Organisations was hit hard as a result, so hopefully we can add to this amount of money in Cullen next Saturday Evening where your support will be most welcome for a fantastic cause.

The Bumbleance Service does wonderful work and is a Totally Voluntary Organisation.

Bumbleance ensures that the journey of a sick child is as safe and comfortable as possible,

Bumbleance Trips and Services cover the following

Pre and Post-surgical appointments
Inter hospital transfers
Respite and Hospice Trips
Scheduled Trips
Chemo Cab
Transplants and critical care
Angel Trips

The Run will Start Out in Cullen Community Centre (Eircode P51 YY06) with Sign On from 4.30pm and Take Off at 6pm Sharp and it will take in a Scenic Route with the Run ending up at O’Riadas Bar and Restaurant Ballymacelligott just outside Castleisland where there will be Free Food and Music,also on the Evening there will be a Draw with some nice Prizes to be Won.

Strong Turnout for the Millstreet Vintage Club Vintage Tractor Run in aid of Millstreet Community Hospital

The first ever Vintage only Tractor Run ran by Millstreet Vintage Club got a great Turnout of 40 Pre 1994 Tractors with a great variety of models taking to the Road on a Scenic Route on Sunday last just after 1pm,the beneficiary of the Event was Millstreet Community Hospital and the Tractors did a drive through the Hospital Grounds at the beginning of the Route with the Hospital Residents sitting out to view the Tractors as they took on a 36km Route in favourable weather conditions.
The Vintage only concept was met with very favourable feedback from everyone who took part in the event and it’s hoped that this type of event can be built up and improved on for the future going forward.
Event Organiser Dan Barry would like to thank the Canon O’Donovan Centre Millstreet for providing the sign on venue and parking along with looking after everyone with Refreshments before they took to the Road and also wishes to thank all the Sign On Crew and the Marshals for keeping the Event running smoothly, also Dan would like to thank the Media and Photographers for there promotion of the Event and finally the John Barry Perpetual Trophy Winner was Tom Linehan in his Ford 4000.

Busy Period ahead for Millstreet Vintage Club in May and June

As we start into the Month of May the next 2 months will be a busy period for Millstreet Vintage Club with the next Event for the Club being a Classic Vehicle & Coffee event over at Mallow GAA Complex Eircode (P51  XV58) happening on Bank Holiday Monday May 6th between 11am and 3pm,this Event is in aid of Mallow Day Care Centre and is sponsored by Mallow Credit Union,for more details on this Event you can give

Following the Mallow Event Club Member Dan Barry is running a Vintage Tractor Run on Sunday May 12th with the beneficiary being Millstreet Community Hospital,this Run will be exclusively open to VINTAGE TRACTORS only and the Criteria required for to take part in the Event will be that your Tractor will have to be 1994 or Older to participate,this is the first time the Club will be running a Tractor Run for Vintage Tractors only and is an interesting concept and hopefully one that catches on,the Tractors will be on Display to the General Public at the Canon O’Donovan Centre Millstreet (Eircode P51 RY10) from 11am to 1pm when they will then take to the Road on a Scenic Route, Entry Fee is €20.
