Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News Report 1164 from Millstreet.
fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this beautiful warm, sunny Tuesday morning.

Public Mass was said in our Parish Church on Monday evening for the Late Mons. Manning who passed away recently.

The Organisers of our Walking Festival were delighted with the fine weather over the weekend. Their prayers were answered and a fine crowd turned out both on Saturday and Sunday to take on our many walks that are routed through our finest scenery.

The organisers of the Monster MAC. (Millstreet Ahtletic Challenge) will be hoping for more of the same this weekend when the Mighty Country Park will be the starting point for this challenging event. Details are on the web.

Last year our own Brian Murphy was second and we wish him all the best  again this time round. There are three categories, 20 km, 34km & 64km. Starts as early as 10am and all are welcome to come and cheer them on.

Our Development Group won the honour of providing the Marshals or stewards ,and will get €800 for their trouble. We wish  the BIG M.A.C. every success.

Video Countdown to The 2013 Cork 20 Rally which will be based in Millstreet-Part 2

To get us in the mood for the 2013 Cork 20 Rally which will be based in Millstreet for the first time ever this year we take a look back at footage from some previous Cork 20 Rallies that have been held over the years to see what we have in store for us in Millstreet with the arrival of this event in October.

This time we look back at the 2007 Cork 20 Rally when we had 3 WRC Stars namely Sebastian Loeb, Mikko Hirvonen, and Dani Sordo competing as part of there preparation for there particapation in Rally Ireland later that year, as a result of these stars driving on the event the 2007 Rally will go down in history as a classic.

Over the coming few weeks/months we will feature more Cork 20 footage from years gone by in a build up to what will be a Major Event for Millstreet to be held on 4th, 5th & 6th October 2013.
