Their new Winter Loan is designed with this in mind. Spread the costs of Christmas, bills, fuel, insurance or other winter expenses over 12 months and repay in a flexible, manageable way. Tomás O’Neill, CEO of Mallow Credit Union said, “In the current challenging times, many of us are preoccupied with financial concerns. With prices for fuel, utilities and groceries soaring since the beginning of 2022, households may be feeling under pressure. Some of the biggest price hikes in decades have put enormous strain on household budgets this winter. Our aim in Mallow Credit Union is to give people in North Cork & West Limerick a little breathing space, to spread out the costs of the coming months across the year.” The new Winter Loan is available to all new and existing members. The maximum term on the loan is 12 months and the maximum loan amount is €2,000. This can be your first loan with the credit union or you can apply for this if you currently have a loan.
