Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this Tuesday morning with a blanket of snow on the ground.

All roads lead to our Green Glens Arena this Saturday and Sunday February 9/10 for the fabulous Bride ‘n Groom Show. Presented by Chic Weddings and HI Magazine. The good news is that admission is entirely free throughout . There’s a give-away of €30,000  plus discounts of €2,500 for couples,

A very large crowd availed of the Blessing of Throats on the Feast of St.Blaise. Many thanks to our Parish Priest Canon FitzGerald who coped with the extra work on his own.

The Cork business community was out in force today, (Friday, 1st February) for a full day conference and networking event, to discuss issues facing SMEs in Cork, and what action is needed to help businesses thrive.

The event was an amazing opportunity for discussion on the current economic climate and what supports are out there for SME owners, business managers and would be entrepreneurs. The lively debate was an encouraging forum for business development, sustainable job creation and the resources available to anyone in business in Ireland.

Coursing: Chloé Collins’ bitch “Come on Bella” ran in the Kitty Butler Stake at the National Coursing Finals in Clonmel this weekend. In the first round was on Sunday morning before the interval, she beat Killahy’s Babe; in the quarter-finals Monday morning, she beat Blades Of Joy, but was beaten in the semi-final Monday afternoon (Feb 3rd) by Catunda Magic who went on to win the final. Millstreet Museum Pictorial Archive – 1964

As we prepare to re-open Millstreet Museum at Carnegie Hall now that the key had been officially presented we shall feature images on a regular basis from our Museum Pictorial Archive.   We begin with a wonderful image at The Square, Millstreet on the occasion of the Annual Corpus Christi Procession in 1964.   We're sure that this picture evokes many a special memory for our loyal website visitors.
