Death Notice: Daniel Enoch, Drishane

The death has occurred on Monday 9th July 2018 of Daniel Enoch (aged 9), of Dublin 15 & Millstreet. A Funeral Service for Daniel will be held in Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Clonsilla Village on Friday afternoon (13th. July) at 1.00 pm followed by burial in Mulhuddart Cemetery. [1]

Daniel was living at the Drishane Direct Provision Centre, and had just finished 3rd class in Millstreet Boy’s National School. His classmates held a memorial service for him at the school, and had a game of soccer after because that’s what he loved.

A tree was planted at the side of the school in his honour. This plaque is in the ground at the base of the tree.

The late Mrs. Catherine Carroll was mother-in-law of Marie (née Radley) formerly of The Square, Millstreet.   For many years I had the great privilege of knowing the late Mrs. Carroll, R.I.P..   Through her wonderful kindness, dedication to her Family, superb knowledge of the history of Killarney and beyond, consistent interest in all things local and great love of Radio Kerry, her inspiring example as a true Christian and her unique gift of making All feel so very welcome at all times – this real Lady has so enriched all our lives in a very special way.  Ní bheidh a leithéidí arís ann.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.  (S.R.)

Death Notice: Dan Duggan, Glenleigh

The death has occurred on Wednesday 24th January 2018 of Dan Duggan, Glenleigh, Rathcoole, Cork. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Mallow General Hospital, husband of the late Nora and the late grandson Mark. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sons Donal, John, Eddie, Martin and Gerald, daughters Mary and Norma, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Lying in Repose at Tarrants Funeral Home, Millstreet, Rosary tonight at 8pm. Removal on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm to St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. Requiem Mass on Friday at 10am and burial afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet. [1] [fb]
