It is with deep sadness we announce the death of our dear Uncle Denis on October 8th 2024, peacefully in the presence of his family in Millstreet Community Hospital. Son of the late Denis and Winifred O’Brien.

Predeceased by his wife Ann, loving brothers Ben, Billy, John, Con, Donie, nephews Seanie and Denis and his recently deceased sister Margaret Murphy .

Lovingly remembered by his nieces Rita, Maria, Kathleen, Una, Patsy, Anna and Janice, nephews Padraig, Denis, Neil, Brian, Benny, Denis, John, Niall and Aidan, sisters in law Noreen and Nell, grand nieces and grand nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, on Thursday 10th October from 6 pm to 7 pm. Denis’ funeral cortege will leave Cloughoulabeg at 10 am on Friday 11th for Mass at 11am. On Monday 19th August, after a short illness, Kevin Bickerdyke passed away in Marymount Hospice, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his son Eric, infant daughter Karen, sister Patty and brothers Alfie and Markie. Survived by wife Helen, sons Kevin and Matt, daughter Sandra, grandsons Eric and Alfie, daughter in law Mary and Sandra’s partner Toby. He will also missed by his brothers Brendan, Frank, Bob and sister Ann as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will take place on Friday, 23rd August, arriving at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy at 1pm.

The death has occurred of Dermot O’ Flynn, Rosnalee, Kanturk, Co. Cork. Dermot passed away peacefully on Monday August 12th 2024, surrounded by his loving family at University Hospital, Cork. On June 26th 2024, Jeremiah (Jerry) Murphy of Clara, Lower Currahaly, Farnanes passed peacefully away at his residence in the presence of his beloved wife.

Formerly of Claramore, Millstreet was married to Noreen (née Duggan) whom they devoted their lives to each other. Dearly loved father of Denis (Grainne) and Conleth (Nicole), Grandfather of JJ, Cameron, Hannah and Brendan, Great-Grandfather of Caiden. He was cherished by his many nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

He is pre-deceased by his parents Ellen (née Corkery) and Denis Murphy. His many siblings Denis, Pat, Tom, Bill, John, Tim, Eily, Mary, and Nora.

The family would love to share their gratitude and appreciation to past and present caregivers, friends and neighbours who helped in the care of Jerry and Noreen. Further appreciation to the doctors and staff at CUH, Link Healthcare, Home Instead, Marymount Hospice, District Nurse-Macroom, Macroom Community Hospital and the nurses and therapists in Jerry’s care.

He will be reposing at his home (P14 W656) on Friday 28th of June from 6pm to 8pm.

Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday 29th of June at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farran (P31 RH92) at 10:30am, followed by burial at St Mary’s Cemetery Millstreet, Co. Cork. Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on https://www.churchservices.tv/farran

The death has occurred of Michael (Mikey John) Dinneen, Ard Mhuire, Rathmore, Co. Kerry. Peacefully, on 26th June 2024, in the care of the nurses and staff at Cork University Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Maura (née O’Leary), sisters Peggy, Kathleen, Josephine and Breda and brother Seán. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken sons Patrick and Diarmuid and daughters Mary (Ferriter) and Margaret (Long), brother in law Connie, sister in law Nancy, daughter in law Mary, sons in law Piaras and Tom, grandchildren, Mike, Maria, Pat, Seán and Áine, Pat’s wife Aisling and Seán’s wife Christine, great-grandchildren Jason, Sophie, Robert, Teddy, Juno and Miah, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, carers, the bingo community and a large circle of friends.

The death has taken place of Joan O’Donoghue (née Hegarty), The Cordolines, Mallow and formerly of Ballymakeera, Co. Cork, (retired Principal of Scoil Ghobnatan N.S. Mallow) who passed away peacefully on June 24th 2024 at home, surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of the late Finian, dear mother of Máire, Siobhán, Fionán, Stiana and Seán and sister of the late Seán.

Sadly missed by her loving family, brother Liam, sister Gobnait (Cotter), son-in-law Niall, daughters-in-law Steph, Audrey and Bronwyn, Máire’s partner Donal, her adored 13 grandchildren Cilian, Shane, Siún, Danny, Fionán, Méabh, Alex, Muireann, Jane, Lucy, Sheila, Senan and Sadhbh, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and good friends.
