The death has occurred of Jerry Barrett, Compsey Cottage, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, and formerly of Killowen, Millstreet, Co. Cork. Predeceased by his beloved wife Anna, his parents Mary Ellen and Tom, and his brothers Tom and Donal. Jerry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of the staff of University Hospital Waterford. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughters Angela and Oonagh, his son Tony, his brother Tony, grandchildren Ella, Laura, Róisín, Emma, Sarah, Piarais, Patrick, Michael and Johnny, daughter-in-law Monica, sons-in-law Mike and PJ, sisters-in-law Ann and Babs, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

On May 20th 2026, Mairead Galvin née O’Sullivan, in the excellent care of Marymount Hospice, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Mairéad is predeceased by her parents Maura and Jackie, her husband Tony, her daughter Marie Denise and brother in law Denis.

Noreen Browne (née Dineen) (Parknamore Heights, Ballincollig, formerly of Murphy’s Terrace, Millstreet) passed peacefully surrounded by loving family in Marymount Hospice on the 21st May 2026. Noreen was loved and cherished by her husband Jerry, her two daughters Aisling and Elaine, her son-in-law John, her sisters Lucy, Jackie, Carmel, Joan and her brother Timmy. Fr. John J Ó Ríordáin, CSsR, Redemptorist Community, Mount Saint Alphonsus, South Circular Road, Limerick and formerly St. Joseph’s Monastery, Dundalk and Knockavoureen, Kiskeam, Mallow, Cork.

Died on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, peacefully in the care of the staff of Good Counsel Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his Parents Jim and Nancy, his siblings Mary Clare, Anne, Joan, Peggy and Eileen. Mourned by his Redemptorist Community. Cherished uncle of his many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnephew, cousins, relatives and friends.

Fr. John J’s remains will be brought home to Mount St Alphonsus on Monday, 6th April, at 3pm and will lie in repose in the Confraternity Room until 6.30pm, then removed to the church for prayers followed by 7.15pm Mass. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7th, at 11.30am, followed by burial in Castlemungret Cemetery.

John O’Mahony, Coonagh Road, Clondrinagh, Limerick and late of Cloghoulabeg, Millstreet, Co. Cork. 9th March, 2026, following a long illness bravely borne, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

His varied career spread from being a Garda in William Street, a Steeplejack installing radomes in over 80 different countries, radome manufacturing in Esso Collins, Kilkishen to building a golf course in Clonlara, Co. Clare.

The death has taken place of Eileen Cronin (née Buckley), Lohort House Cecilstown, Mallow and late of Keale Bridge, Millstreet. On February 16th unexpectedly but peacefully in the presence of her loving family at her residence. Beloved wife of Anthony and much loved mother of Mary, Úna and Des. Pre-deceased by her sister Kathleen and brother Joe. Sadly missed by her loving family, brother Donagh, sister Norma (O’Neill), sister in law Maureen, daughter in law Sandra, grandchildren Cara, Cian, Colm and Mark, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Lying in repose at O’Callaghan’s Funeral Chapel, Ballyclough on Thursday from 6.30 pm to 8 pm followed by prayers. Reception into St. Mary’s Church, Castlemagner on Friday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St. Brigit’s Cemetery, Castlemagner.

On Tuesday February 17th 2026, Timmy passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of Teach Altra Nursing Home. Predeceased by his parents Denny Joe and Sheila, his brothers Jim and Humphrey and sister-in-law Liz.

Sadly missed by his sisters Margaret and Kathleen, his brothers John, Denis, Connie, Patrick and Paul, sister-in-law Stephanie, niece Anna, nephew James, cousins, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in the family home in Dromsicane (P51K120) on Friday (20th February) between 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm.  Reception into St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Saturday (February 21st) for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet.

The death has occurred of Dan O ‘Riordan, Ballydaly, Co. Cork, who passed away suddenly at his home on Monday 16th February 2026. Dan will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Mary (née Healy), children John, Catherine, Michael and Eleanor and his five much loved grandchildren. Sadly missed by his sister Betsy and brother Humphrey, sons-in-law Joe and Ronan, daughters-in-law Susan and Anne, mother-in-law Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

On February 15th, 2026, peacefully at the Mercy University Hospital, Cork, surrounded by his loving family, Michael (serving member of Cork County Council and late of the Dept. of Agriculture), son of the late Seán and MaryAnne, loving brother of Concepta, Imelda, Anne, Caroline, Noelle, Larry, and Kieran, nephew of Theresa and Eileen. Sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, aunts, extended family, relatives, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends.

Peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, on February 6th, following a short illness, and in recent years in the exceptional care of the staff at St. Catherine’s Nursing Home, Newcastle West. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, his brother William (Willie), his sister Margaret Cronin and her husband Dan. Sadly missed by his relatives, neighbours and many friends.
