The death has occurred of Denis O’Brien, Ballydaly and Cloughoulabeg, Millstreet, Co. Cork.

It is with deep sadness we announce the death of our dear Uncle Denis on October 8th 2024, peacefully in the presence of his family in Millstreet Community Hospital. Son of the late Denis and Winifred O’Brien.

Predeceased by his wife Ann, loving brothers Ben, Billy, John, Con, Donie, nephews Seanie and Denis and his recently deceased sister Margaret Murphy .

Lovingly remembered by his nieces Rita, Maria, Kathleen, Una, Patsy, Anna and Janice, nephews Padraig, Denis, Neil, Brian, Benny, Denis, John, Niall and Aidan, sisters in law Noreen and Nell, grand nieces and grand nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, on Thursday 10th October from 6 pm to 7 pm. Denis’ funeral cortege will leave Cloughoulabeg at 10 am on Friday 11th for Mass at 11am. Derry Horgan, Millstreet and Manchester

Derry Horgan late of Millstreet and Manchester.

  Derry was son of the late Tom and Sheila Horgan and lived in Killarney Road, Millstreet. Predeceased by his sister Margaret and brother Tommy. Educated in the local primary school, and in Coláiste Pádraig from 1958 – 1963. Having completed a B. Comm. in UCC in 1966, he went to the UK and worked in the private sector. He had great affinity with Millstreet and visited every year and renewed old acquaintances. He became unwell just before Covid and had lingered on until he passed away peacefully on Tuesday last, 8th Oct. 2024.  He is survived by wife Joan and son Patrick.

Passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Araglen House, Boherbue, Co. Cork. Beloved husband of Margaret (née Corkery) loving father to Niall and Pat and adoring grandfather to Conor. Predeceased by his parents Corneilius and Kathleen , his brothers James Larry and Brendan and his sisters Nan and Betsy. The death has taken place of Breda O’Sullivan (née O’Dwyer), Mallow, Co. Cork and formerly of Ballinleenty, Co. Tipperary, who passed away peacefully on June 30th 2024, after a long illness bravely borne, in the presence of her loving family at the Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, Cork.

Devoted and loving wife to Joe, adored mom to daughter Emma, sons Ben and Charlie, daughter of Christie and Joan and sister to Anne and Helen.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Joe, daughter Emma, sons Ben and Charlie, parents Christie and Joan, sisters Anne and Helen, father-in-law Billy, brother-in-law Padraig , sister-in-laws Carol-Ann and her husband John, Linda and her husband Michael, uncles, aunt, grandaunts, cousins, kind neighbours and a large circle of her dear amazing friends.

Predeceased by her grandparents Sheila, Paddy, Mattie and Cissie, mother-in-law Ann, Aunts Margaret and Breda and Uncle Denis.

The death has occurred of Jeremiah (Jerry) Murphy, Clara, Lower Currahaly, Farnanes, Co. Cork / Millstreet, Co. Cork.

On June 26th 2024, Jeremiah (Jerry) Murphy of Clara, Lower Currahaly, Farnanes passed peacefully away at his residence in the presence of his beloved wife.

Formerly of Claramore, Millstreet was married to Noreen (née Duggan) whom they devoted their lives to each other. Dearly loved father of Denis (Grainne) and Conleth (Nicole), Grandfather of JJ, Cameron, Hannah and Brendan, Great-Grandfather of Caiden. He was cherished by his many nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

He is pre-deceased by his parents Ellen (née Corkery) and Denis Murphy. His many siblings Denis, Pat, Tom, Bill, John, Tim, Eily, Mary, and Nora.

The family would love to share their gratitude and appreciation to past and present caregivers, friends and neighbours who helped in the care of Jerry and Noreen. Further appreciation to the doctors and staff at CUH, Link Healthcare, Home Instead, Marymount Hospice, District Nurse-Macroom, Macroom Community Hospital and the nurses and therapists in Jerry’s care.

He will be reposing at his home (P14 W656) on Friday 28th of June from 6pm to 8pm.
