On the 27th September 2023, Martin passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving family, in the exceptional care of Dr. Bertie Daly and all the staff at Glenlodge, Mallow. Predeceased by his loving parents Richard and Mary Goggin and his grand-niece, Emma O’Sullivan. He will be sadly missed and forever lovingly remembered by his sisters Tessie (Dennehy, Derinagree), Geraldine (Curtin, Drishane) and Anne (O’Sullivan, Lackabawn), his brothers-in-law Pat, Derry and Tadgh, his nieces and nephews Maria, Declan, Majella, Kieran, Sinéad, Colm, Patrick, David, Caroline, Gerard, Miriam & Tadgh, their partners and families, his special friends and staff of COPE Foundation Mallow, kind neighbours, relatives and friends.

The death has taken place of Martin Geran, Grenagh, Co.Cork & formerly of Ballydaly (Knocknagullane), Millstreet who passed away suddenly on July 11th 2023 beloved husband of Margaret (née Higgins), much loved father of Ivan and Róisín, son of the late Andrew and Joan, brother of Patricia, Dan Joe, Eileen (Murphy), Noreen (Lehane), Michael, John and Siobhán (Hurley) and the late Andrew Patrick and uncle of the late Amy. Late of Kiskeam North, Kiskeam, Mallow, Co. Cork and formerly of Glounlea, Currow, Co. Kerry. Passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents John and Hannah, twin sister Mary and infant brother Jeremiah. Beloved wife of Flor and adored mother to Helen (O’Sullivan), Anne Marie, Catríona, Jeremiah, Claire, Fiona and John. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken family, sons-in-law Chris and Matthew and grandson Tadhg. Sadly missed by her sisters Noreen, Bridget, Margaret, Ann and Geraldine, brothers Pádraig, Dan Joe and Michael, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

The death has occurred of John Smyth, Corrineary, Drum, Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan, 30th June 2023, peacefully in the excellent care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Margaret. Much loved father of Sinéad, Siobháin, Aileen, Brian and Diarmuid. Sadly missed by his sons-in-law John, Kevin and Graham, and daughters-in-law Laura and Jude, grandchildren Caolán, Emily, Seán, Eoghan, Méabh, Tiarnán, Donnchadh and Sadhbh, sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

John will journey from Martin’s Family Room on Saturday (1st July) at 11am and will repose at the family home, Corrineary, Drum, Scotshouse (H16 AP58), from 4pm to 8pm, with removal on Sunday morning at 10:00am to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Scotshouse, for 10:30am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private Sunday morning, please.
