Death Notice: Ned Casey, Carrigacooleen

The death has occurred of Edward (Ned) Casey, Carrigacooleen, Millstreet, Cork. Passed away peacefully in Marymount Hospice on Sunday 6th January 2019, surrounded by his family after a long illness. Sadly missed by his wife Joan, sons Daniel and Kieran, his brother John, sisters Mary and Eileen, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends. “May he Rest in Peace”.
Reposing at his residence on Monday, Rosary at 8pm. Lying in Repose in St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Tuesday from 5pm to 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon. Feast of the Epiphany 2019

Seán Keane on “Where the Road Takes Me” on C103 This Sunday at 7pm

By the age of thirteen he had won an amount of All-Ireland medals in Fleadh Cheoil competitions and was an accomplished musician in many instruments. 

The London Independent described him as ‘The musical find of the nineties.’

This week on ‘Where the road takes me’, John Greene meets Seán Keane from Galway, a member of the famous musical Keane family and brother to Dolores.

Death Notice: Pat O’Connell, Tooreenbawn / Canon O’Donovan Centre

The death has occurred of Pat O’Connell Tooreenbawn/ Canon O’Donovan Centre, Millstreet. Peacefully on Friday 4th January 2019, in the care of Nuala and the staff of Teach Altra Nursing Home, Newmarket, beloved son of the late John and Mary and brother of the late David. Deeply regretted by his sisters Noreen Dennehy and Bridie, sister-in-law Eileen, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and friends. ‘May he Rest in Peace’.
Lying in repose in Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet. Rosary on Saturday evening at 8pm. Removal on Sunday from 6pm to 7.30pm to St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon. burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery. [1]
