Death Notice: Peg Murphy, Doon & Lisnaboy

The death has occurred of Margaret (Peg) MURPHY (née O’Connor), formerly of Doon, Knocknagree/ Lisnaboy, Cullen, Cork

Passed away peacefully on Friday 9th November 2018 in the care of the staff of Mallow General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late John J. and sister of the late Donal, Ritchie, Norrie and Denis. Dear mother of Mary B, Jim, Finbarr, the late Sean, Donal, Esther, Bertie, Geraldine, Kevin and Theresa, twin sister of Fr Sean and beloved sister of Sister Benedict, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandson, neighbours, relatives and friends. ‘May She Rest in Peace’.

Lying in repose in Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet on Saturday, Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Sunday from 5pm to 8pm to the Church of the Nativity, Cullen. November Mass of Remembrance Tonight at 6:30 in Church

The dedicated Team involved in the design, the arrangement and the overall maintenance of the special Sacred Space – The November Garden of Remembrance 2018 (more images of which we shall upload later today) – include Canon John Fitzgerald, P.P., Sharon Lane (Parish Secretary), Declan Crowley of Milltech Print Design Co., Cork and Julie Brady, Sacristan.  The annual feature is greatly admired and is a source of very real consolation to many.

The Annual Mass for all those who died within the past year will be celebrated tonight – Saturday, 10th Nov. 2018 at 6:30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet.   All are invited to this special Mass of Remembrance.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)
