Grit Locations and Roads to be Salted

Ahead of the severe weather this week, Cork County Council has made grit available at over 190 locations across the county for use by local communities. Council staff are currently replenishing stocks. Full locations can be found at corkcoco.ie/node/1475. Below are the locations in the Millstreet Engineers Area:

Glantane Cross, Knocknagree; Kiskeam Graveyard entrance; Kerryman’s Table, Kilcorney; opposite Keim Quarry, Millstreet; Crohig’s Cross, Ballydaly; Adjacent to New Housing Estate at Laharn Boherbue;  Knocknagree O Learys Yard ,Boherbue Road;  Fermoyle Ball Alley, Banteer; Lyre Village; Ballydesmond Church Rd, Opposite Council Estate [1]

Death Notice: Kathleen Moynihan, Ballydaly

Moynihan, Kathleen, Ballydaly (née Twomey, formerly of Cullen) passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on the 27th of February. Beloved daughter of the late Thady, daughter in law of the late Timmy and sister in law of the late Tadgh. Much loved wife of Willie, dear mother of Liam, Elaine, Colin and Mairéad. Daughter of Peggy and daughter in law of Eileen. Grandmother of Cian and Gearóid. Mother in law of John and Claire. Dearly missed by her brothers Davie, Noel and Tim, sister Noreen, brothers in law, sisters in law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet, on Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Ballydaly and burial afterwards in Cullen Cemetery. May She Rest in Peace. [1]
