Our Programme begins at 9:30pm with its usual mixture of wonderful songs, music and musings. At 10.15pm we remember the late Donie Golden and Con McSweeney and play a special 1960’s local song in tribute. We hear about the many famous people born a century ago in 1920. The Funeral Mass of the late Donie Golden was broadcast live from St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet at 10am and repeated in a recording at 11am this Tuesday, 7th April 2020. Just after 1.30pm today also the Funeral Mass of the late Con McSweeney of Tooreenbawn and Altamont will be broadcast on Church T.V. (UHF Channel 53) and also will be transmitted live on Cork Music Station. (S.R.)

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11.00am.
Our broadcasts begin five minutes before the Celebration of Mass in our series “Radio Treasures Extra”. On Sunday after our Mass broadcast we then continue with an interview with Liam Flynn one of the Coordinators of the recently formed COVID-19 Local Support Group. The Sunday programme continues until 2pm with uplifting songs, music and chat. To tune into our Radio Station simply tap on Cork Music Station.

Following our Audio Broadcast on Cork Music Station this Sunday at 1pm of a recording of today’s Celebration of Mass by Canon John Fitzgerald, P.P. in St. Patrick’s Church at 11:30 am we received many uplifting messages from far and wide from people who truly appreciated receiving the transmission in their own homes during these challenging times of Coronavirus COVID-19. Here is just a brief selection of the very kind comments:
On our Facebook Page some 59 made contact from various locations such as Russell Murphy in Australia, Eileen Murphy in Louisville, Kentucky, USA and Carmel Smith of Dublin. Lots of Local People expressed their appreciation indicating how impressed they were with the clarity of the signal.

Tonight from 9:30 we feature our annual BTYSTE programme recorded on 9th Jan. 2020 at Dublin’s RDS. This broadcast will include the many Interviews with wonderfully enthusiastic articulate Students from Millstreet Community School who had five Projects (many award winning), from Boherbue Comprehensive School (further award winning projects) and with nationwide Post-primary School Students. Hugely interesting themes include Owl Habitats, the recipe for Happiness, benefits of Music, awareness of Testicular Cancer in Young Men & Boys – to mention but some. We share some 26 images here to further illustrate our visit to this very famous event which for the 11th time in its history had Cork Overall Winners.
