Weekday Mass Broadcasts on CMS End on Thursday

St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, Co. Cork

While the 10am Mass on Thursday, 16th July 2020 will be our final weekday broadcast of the celebration of Mass from St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Cork Music Station we shall continue transmitting the celebration of Mass on Sundays at 11.30am followed by “Lunchtime Favourites”.   Since the beginning of our broadcasts in early March 2020 we have received lots of uplifting messages from Loyal Listeners worldwide indicating how much the many broadcasts on Radio have meant to them during this COVID-19 era.   Sincere thanks to William and Ita Fitzgerald who made the technical transmission possible; to Canon John Fitzgerald, P.P. for excellent cooperation;   to Fr. Paddy O’Byrne whose Mass celebrations were also much appreciated; to Edel, Barry and Kieran Fraser who arranged the recording of Millstreet Church Choir; to Deirdre Tracey for her superb playing of the Organ; to Sharon Lane, Parish Secretary for splendid promotion of our broadcasts; to Julie Brady, Sacristan for great assistance;  John Tarrant for “Corkman” promotion of our broadcasts….and to all Loyal Listeners, local, national and international. Incorporated into the celebration of Masses this week will be new recent recordings of Millstreet Church Choir and the playing of the Church Organ by Deirdre Tracey.   We thank Edel, Barry and Kieran Fraser for the coordination of the recordings of Millstreet Church Choir.   Thus we shall have the virtual sounds of the Organ and the Choir at the Celebration of all Masses throughout the week.   Members of the Congregation watching the live transmission on the Church Local Television will be unable to hear the Choir and Organist unless one turns on the radio sound in the background of the Mass being broadcast live on (just click on the following link to tune into our Internet Radio Station:) Cork Music Station.  Please note that there is a slight delay in sychronisation of the television and radio sounds. Mass on Sunday, 14th June 2020 at 11.30 am… Mass today will be offered for the First Holy Communion Children of our Parish, their families & teachers.  We shall also be returning from “Lunchtime Favourites” to the Holy Hour for Corpus Christi 2020 and especially for the final Blessing at 12.55pm.

Celebration of Mass Radio Broadcasts Schedule this Coming Week on Cork Music Station

Cork Music Station will be broadcasting Mass from St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on the following times this coming week:

Sunday, 22nd March 2020 at 12:30pm

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11.00am.

Our broadcasts begin five minutes before the Celebration of Mass in our series “Radio Treasures Extra”.   On Sunday after our Mass broadcast we then continue with an interview with Liam Flynn one of the Coordinators of the recently formed COVID-19 Local Support Group.   The Sunday programme continues until 2pm with uplifting songs, music and chat.   To tune into our Radio Station simply tap on Cork Music Station.
