Celebrating Munster Schools’ Senior Football Champions at MCS
We thank Pól Ó Síodhcháin, Principal MCS for sharing the following selection of wonderful photos firstly recording the victory of the superb Millstreet Community School Team at the Munster Schools’ Senior Football Final in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick on Monday, 4th March 2024 and secondly permitting us to view the splendid celebration at MCS on Wednesday morning, 6th March when the victorious Team were applauded by All and treated to a special celebratory breakfast to which further Guests were also invited. Late of Colbert Avenue, Janesboro and Millstreet, Co. Cork and Ex Janesboro F.C. and retired chef of Cruises Hotel and Molex.
On March 3rd 2024, peacefully, at Athlunkard Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Theresa and Thomas, brother Sam and sister Gertrude.
Very deeply regretted by his daughters Theresa (Connery) and Liz (Browne), sons Jimmy (Browne), Anthony (Browne) and Dominic (Browne), close family friend Deborah O’Halloran, adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, son-in-law John Connery, brothers Tommy and Roy, sisters Irene, Marie, Theresa, Mary, Catherine and Ber, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
May He Rest in Peace
Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Tuesday, March 5th, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm.
Reception into Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Roxboro Road, on Wednesday, March 6th, at 10.45am, followed by Requiem Mass at 11am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (extension) Cemetery.

A sincere thank you to the Staff of Milford Care Centre and Athlunkard Nursing Home for their professionalism to Billy throughout his illness.
