Running for Pearl

Hi, My friend Malcolm McLoughlin is undertaking a charity run this sunday 3rd July from Mizen Head to Malin Head (570km!) and will be passing through Millstreet. He is raising funds for autism, for his own daughter Pearl and various other Autism charities. If anyone would like to cheer him on or run a little please come out. Exact dates and times of reaching Millstreet will be updated via his Running For Pearl facebook page.

I reckon he’ll be coming into Millstreet on the second day (Monday 4th) as it’s about 120 km from here to Mizen, but we’ll try to keep ye posted as to when he’ll be coming into Millstreet.

Crowley in Munster Minor Football Final

Best of luck to Kevin Crowley who will play with the Cork Minor team against Tipperary in the Munster Final next Sunday 3rd July at 12pm in Killarney (before the Senior Final). Kevin will play at wing back (#5) again in the final.

In a preview in the Corkman says that “McEoin and wing-back Kevin Crowley (Millstreet) have arguably been Cork’s most impressive performers over the two games to date“. There is another preview of the game on the Irish Examiner.

Genealogy: Kellehers, Mausrower

I am researching my wife’s side of the family (Kelleher), and I am trying to determine the church in which they were baptized in the mid-late 1800s. The records I am able to access merely say “Parish-Rathmore” but not the actual name of the church. Millstreet appears in some of the old records.
