The final Handed Down is a very special one.   In 2000 a group of Co. Kerry musicians travelled to Boston where they were part of the Burns Library events . They were interviewed by the great Ciarán MacMathúna and the event was captured on video.
Pádraig MacMathúna is coming to Scartaglin with great footage of Paddy Cronin, Johnny O Leary , Joe Burke, Nicky McAuliffe , Ellen “O’Leary” Healy all onstage sharing tunes,stories and memories with Ciarán.
A special thanks to Boston College for allowing the material to be shown at Handed Down .

On Sunday July 24 and Sunday July 31 at 9pm on “The Rolling Wave” RTÉ 1 Radio programme Peter Browne will broadcast highlights from this year’s World Fiddle Day Concert which took place on May 21 in Heritage Centre Scartaglin .  Below we feature some images for that very special Concert:

Scartaglin World Fiddle Day on “Radio Treasures” Tonight

Just log onto www.corkmusicstation.com tonight from 9.30 to listen to “Radio Treasures”.  Lasting until 11pm our 10pm Interview relates to the recent magnificent Scartaglin World Fiddle Day Concert plus an interview with Jerry Flynn of Scartaglin & Killarney (pictured below).  The Concert also featured a brilliant illustrated talk by RTÉ’s Peter Browne.  Our sincere thanks to Coordinator supreme P.J.
