Wonderful Annual Tour of Drishane by Sixth Class Students

We thank Teacher, Siobhán O’Leary-Buckley of Presentation N.S, Millstreet for the following very interesting illustrated feature. Siobhán writes:

“Our 6th Class went on their annual trip to Drishane last Thursday, 23rd June 2022 (absolutely roasting weather) and had a fabulous day – Got to go up the tower and all! We called to especially remember our great friend Eileen Cotter on the way home and we were spoiled at Coleman’s with free ice-cream for everyone- including teachers! What a brilliant day we had and lovely memories for the girls. A very special word of thanks to John & Mary Coleman & Staff and also to Thomas Duggan. Millstreet Vintage Club Circuit of Ireland Stages Revisited happening on next Sunday July 3rd

With just a few days left now to The Millstreet Vintage Club Circuit of Ireland Stages Revisited 2022 we are getting close to what promises to be a great Event and the Weather looks and hopefully will behave for next Sunday as well, COC Donie Lucey has organised and laid on 3 great Stages in a Compact Route of 50 miles Starting and Finishing In Millstreet Town,Sign on is at the Wallis Arms Hotel Millstreet Eircode (P51 D25 W) from 10.30am with Take Off at 12 Noon,Cars will Tackle Gortnagane,then will go for a Pitstop in Glenflesk before tackling Mullaghanish and then on to the Mushera Stage before heading back to Millstreet for the Finish,Each Participant will receive a Traditional Bumper Plate to mark the Running of the Event,All Rally Cars, Vintage and Classic Cars are very Welcome to take part so if your interested why not Contact Donie Lucey on 086 8545873.

Sheila Daly (nee Cahill), Tullig Millstreet and formerly of Barraduff, Headford, Killarney, Co. Kerry. On 27th June 2022, unexpectedly, Sheila beloved wife of Teddy, loving mother of Siobhán and grandmother of Nessa, sadly missed by her husband, daughter, granddaughter, son in law Tony, sisters Catherine Mary, Margaret and Noreen, sister in law Margaret, brothers in law Joe, Dinny & Connie, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

R.I.P.

Lying in repose at her home this Tuesday evening which is private. Reposing at St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Wednesday 29th June from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday 30th June at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilquane Cemetery, Barraduff, Co. Kerry.
