“Radio Treasures” 9.30 to 11.00 This Tuesday Night on CMS

Tonight…on this Tuesday, 13th Oct. 2020… on “Radio Treasures” broadcast on Cork Music Station  9:30 to 11:00pm we feature our regular items with a splendid blend of uplifting songs and music… tonight we feature a selection of songs and music with lots of variety as well as lots of interesting musings and words of wisdom.  Included in tonight’s programme: 

  1.   Amazing whistling talent of Roger Whittaker.
  2.   The Power of One Hail Mary – an inspiring brief story.
  3.   Recalling Millstreet Monument Committee‘s visit to Freemount for a 2008 recording of “Round the Fireside” with Jimmy Reidy broadcast last night on C103.
  4.   Sharing our Boston 1980 Radio Recordings.

All these four items will be broadcast from 10.00 pm tonight.   And we also chat about the following images:

Eily’s Report – 13th October

Dia is Mhuire díobh go léir a chairde, and welcome to my report.

The strange times continue and it looks like we are in it for  the long haul so we may as well make up our minds to the fact and each one of us must carve our own way through it. Find out what is working for us as it has done for the past seven or eight months and hope for the best. God knows we’ve been told often enough to wash our hands and wear a mask and stay one meter away from others at a social distance and we must keep on doing it. I suppose as rural dwellers we have an advantage over those who live in built up areas and more cramped conditions. So in that regard we can count ourselves more fortunate to some degree, but nothing is guaranteed.
