The death has occurred on Friday 5th April 2019 of James (Jimmy) Murphy, No 12 Tanyard, Millstreet. Deeply regretted by his brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, uncle, aunt and cousins. Lying in Repose in St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery. [rip]

Upcoming Community Meeting

IRD Duhallow is holding a community meeting to give people from the Millstreet, Aubane, Ballydaly and Derrinagree areas an opportunity to discuss their ideas and plans for their communities as well as hear of opportunities. The forthcoming Local and European Elections in May are an opportunity to lobby your public representatives for the services, infrastructure and resources required in your communities, when they come looking for your vote. The meeting will take place on 8th April at 8pm  in the Canon O’Donovan Centre, Millstreet will be attended by representatives of IRD Duhallow Board and Staff.

Presentation by Lucey Transport Ltd. Drivers to Donal Barry on His Recent Retirement

Drivers of Millstreet Depot of Lucey Transport Ltd. assembled at the Macroom Road Centre on Saturday afternoon, 6th April 2019 to make a special presentation to the very popular Donal Barry of Boherbue on his recent retirement after 45 years of wonderfully dedicated service at Lucey Transport Ltd., Millstreet.   Following some very witty sincere speeches the group enjoyed refreshments at Café Aroma at Minor Row, Millstreet.  We, as well as the Organisers of this presentation, extend sincere congratulations to Donal and wish him many long years of happy and healthy retirement.   Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)
