“Ciorcal Chomhrá” Every Wednesday at Millstreet Library

Every Wednesday at Millstreet Library from 11.00 a.m. until 12.00 noon an enthusiastic group of people interested in the Irish Language assemble for an hour discussing and exploring different interesting issues of Irish culture and more. Others are more than welcome to join irrespective of one's standard of spoken Irish. Here we view four of the very dedicated members of the "Ciorcal Chomhrá" (Discussion Circle). From left: Cáit Ní Mhuimhneachán, Siobhán Uí Chorcorán, Peig Ní Éalaithe agus Della Uí Choileáin.

Eily Buckley

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a Cairde and welcome to news report 1060 from Millstreet.

Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this lovely calm, slightly foggy Tuesday morning.

Clara mountain was again the focus of attention at the weekend when theMunster Hill running Championships were held there on Sunday evening,in brilliant weather.

And a very successful Feile Ceoil was held at the Community School on Sunday.

Many congratulations to the wonderful Linehan Family on qualifying for  the  All Ireland finals of the popular Feis ‘n Blood competition on Tg4 on Sunday night.

The pupils of our Community School would like to thank all those who helped them to raise €3,970.00 to send students, Lisa O Callaghan, Adam Buicke, Alison Buicke, and Susie Guerin as helpers to Lourdes at Easter. This money will cover their costs as well as giving a donation to the IHCPT organisation.
