Repeat of “Cois Móire” on TG4 this Sunday at 11pm
We extend sincere thanks to the many people from home and abroad who have expressed their delight on watching Episode One of the excellent TG4 Documentary which was first broadcast on Wednesday, 9th Nov. at 9.30pm. This first Episode presented by Diarmuid Ó Drisceoil (very often from his canoe while travelling the course of the River Blackwater) begins at its source near Ballydesmond where he meets with Pádraig Ó Súilleabháin, moves along to Ballydesmond where John Walsh sings and hears great Sliabh Luachra music in Kiskeam, meets with Journalist Donal Hickey in Knocknagree and with Con Houlihan at Duarigle Castle. Then proceeding to the Boeing at Dooneen before travelling to Millstreet. Our 27 still images from the wonderful Documentary illustrate the remainder of the journey to the end of Episode One. The Documentary is being repeated tonight (Sunday, 13th Nov. 2022) at 11.00pm on TG4. “Cois Móire” on TG4 Tonight at 9.30 to Feature Millstreet
Based on the book “Cois Móire” from the 1960s Episode One of the TG4 Documentary will be broadcast tonight 9.30 to 10.30 (9th Nov. 2022) with a repeat showing on Sunday night at 11.00 on TG4. We thank Marie Casey for sharing three images of the much sought after book by Annraoi Ó Liatháin. Episode One, we believe, travels from the Blackwater’s source in Ballydesmond…Millstreet scenes included…. and ends with arrival in the Rathcoole area with Episode Two beginning at Banteer. “Over the 4 nights 6-9 August, Fleadh2020, will capture the essence of this annual event on TG 4.
They recorded it in Mullingar three weeks ago & the Crossfields Band which includes local Musicians Darragh Twomey, Marie O’Neill, Diarmuid Cronin, Leah Murphy & Anna Buckley are on tonight Thurs., 6th Aug. 2020 9.30pm so might be a bit of craic to watch!”
Diarmuid Cronin of Laught, Rathcoole – One of the many wonderfully talented local Musicians to appear in the upcoming Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann transmissions this week on TG4.
Dan O’Riordan Interview to Feature on TG4 at 7pm at a Future Date
Dan O’Riordan of Ballydaly is scheduled to appear in an interview regarding the importance of the Rathcoole-based Air Ambulance on TG4’s “An Nuacht” at 7 this Friday evening – 24th Jan. 2020. On Easter Sunday, the Diamond Sisters (Marie and Breeda) were on Realta Agus Gaelta, a talent show on TG4 to find Ireland’s most talented family. Here they are performing their latest single “I Wish it Would Rain”. [1]
