Gillian Daly – Acknowledgement and First Anniversary

Acknowledgement and First Anniversary

3 rd June 2022

Gillian Daly
Douglas, Cork / Millstreet

The family of the late Gillian Daly of Douglas, Cork and formally of Liscahane, Millstreet,
wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown

to us following our sad loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited
our home, attended the wake, mass and burial and who provided emotional and practical
support for us over the past year. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent
floral tributes, cards, letters and messages of condolences, to our neighbours and friends
who lined the streets and roads on Gillian’s final journey; we are truly grateful.
A special word of thanks to the emergency services who attended to Gillian and for their
respect and kindness. To all those who participated in the mass, especially Canon John
Fitzgerald, P.P., Fr. Richard Dowling, Sharon Lane, Julie Brady and to our neighbours Siobhán

and Mary Forde who provided such a beautiful send off.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it
would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as
an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for

your intentions.

The First Anniversary Mass for Gillian will be held on Saturday June 3 rd , in Carmelite Friary,
Kinsale at 10am and she will be remembered also at 6.15pm mass in St Patrick’s Church,

Millstreet.

She was beauty, grace and kindness and will not be forgotten.
