MILLSTREET CHOIR RETURN “VIRTUALLY”

Our Church choir will be singing “virtually” at Mass from next Sunday 24th, through recorded hymns sung individually at home while complying with Covid19 lockdown restrictions.

OPENING OF CHURCHES FOR PRIVATE PRAYER

On next Wednesday we will be re-opening Churches in our Parish for private prayer.  While this a welcome move we need to continue to be cautious and proceed carefully.  Over the weekend we will be working to make each Church as safe as we can for everyone. These are the precautions that will be in place:

  • Front doors will be left open to avoid contact with door handles.
  • Hand sanitisers will be placed at each entrance door – please use them.
  • Please observe social distancing of 2 meters at all times.
  • Holy water fonts will remain empty & seats will be taped off

We encourage everyone to follow the  Diocesan guidelines received: “Walk around, stand and pray, don’t sit down and touch nothing”

Millstreet Church will open after morning Mass each morning and close at 6.30p.m.

Ballydaly & Cullen Churches will open at 11.00a.m. each day and close at 4.00p.m. This will allow for necessary cleaning to be carried out.

The Parish office continues to be closed to the public but our secretary can still be contacted by phone (029 70043) or email for anniversary inclusions, mass cards or any other queries.

(Grotto to our Lady at Aubane Cross [1])

Mother of God and our Mother, pray for us to God, the Father of mercies, that this great suffering may end and that hope and peace may dawn anew.  Plead with your divine Son, as you did at Cana, so that the families of the sick and the victims be comforted, and their hearts be opened to confidence and trust.

Protect those doctors, nurses, health workers and volunteers who are on the frontline of this emergency, and are risking their lives to save others.  Support their heroic effort and grant them strength, generosity and continued health.

Be close to those who assist the sick night and day, and to priests who, in their pastoral concern and fidelity to the Gospel, are trying to help and support everyone. Blessed Virgin, illumine the minds of men and women engaged in scientific research, that they may find effective solutions to overcome this virus. Our Lady, pray for us. (Pope Francis)

Eoin McCormack with Millstreet Connections Inspires All

An eight-year-old boy from Dublin who was due to make his First Holy Communion tomorrow is instead cycling a marathon close to his home for a charity close to his heart.   This wonderfully uplifting and very inspiring story recently featured on the RTÉ Television News. He has already raised nearly €11,000 through his GoFundMe Page !!   Update: The Fund has now reached an absolutely amazing €67,172.00 which includes a very generous contribution by Conor McGregor of €50,000.00!
