Active Home School Week – Toilet Roll Challenge

The pupils and staff in St. Brendan’s N.S. Rathcoole took part in Active Home Week last week. They completed the Toilet Roll Challenge. It was a lovely way to motivate each other to get active and to unite our pupils and staff during this time. Have a look at what they got up to in the video below:

Russell Murphy’s Creative Postcard

Caherbarnagh (or Cahirbearna) is part of the chain of mountains which stretches westward from Millstreet to Killarney. Its name means “the hill of the four gaps”.

Jerry Horan, Cahirbarnagh

The death has occurred of Jeremiah (Jerry) Horan, Cahirbarnagh, Rathmore, Kerry / Cork. On May 7th, 2020, peacefully in the loving care of nurses and staff at University Hospital Kerry, Jerry (in his 96th year), predeceased by his wife Kitty (née Scannell) and his daughther Judy. Loving father of Frank, Jerry, Dan, Breeda, Nora Mai, Mary and Kate. Very deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his family, sisters Maura (Rynne) and Kitty (Scannell), brother-in-law Jerry, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends. In accordance with H.S.E guidelines and in the interest of public health, a private Requeim Mass and Burial will take place in St Joseph’s Church Rathmore, on Friday May 8th at 2pm.
