With the good weather, Millstreet Tidy Town are back out, making Millstreet a nicer place again. Lots showed up to repaint the picnic area at the Drishane Road last week, and all around town. Coordinated by Millstreet INTO – and very especially by Joan O’Mahony and Con Meade – a truly impressive Presentation Ceremony took place on Tuesday, 29th May 2018 at Café Aroma, Minor Row, Millstreet to honour Susan O’Connor and Mary Lynch who following many dedicated years of teaching at Rathcoole N.S. recently retired. Mary Magner representating the national INTO also addressed the large gathering of Teachers. Accompanying the Retiring Teachers were their husbands Gerry and Der. Noreen, Joan and Staff of Café Aroma prepared a magnificent banquet of delicious food and drinks for the special occasion. Here we share a selection of images which will help to give an idea of the wonderful atmosphere – joyful, relaxing and uplifting where superbly witty addresses by Joan, Mary (Magner), Mary (Lynch) and Susan were delivered.
