The wonderful tradition of Millstreet's September Horse Fair continued on Sunday, 30th August 2015 and was blessed with glorious weather conditions. Connie Hickey: Acknowledgement

Connie (Chico) Hickey MAIN STREET, MILLSTREET. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and FIRST ANNIVERSARY Died on September 1, 2014.  The family of the late CONNIE HICKEY would like to thank everyone who sympathised with them in their time of grief on his sudden death. Thanks to all who attended the Rosary, removal, funeral Mass and burial; to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and floral tributes; to the people who stewarded at his removal and to all who organised and took part in the guards of honour. Thanks to all our relatives, neighbours and friends who were so helpful at the time of Connie’s death.We would like to thank Declan Desmond who was first to Connie’s assistance, his friends and neighbours at Saint Joseph’s Gardens who were so helpful that morning, Dr.O’Grady and the emergency service who tried so hard to revive Connie, Canon John Fitzgerald, Sharon Lane and sacristan Julie Brady who were so helpful throughout the week, Canon John Fitzgerald, Fr. Paddy O’Byrne and Fr. SeánTucker who concelebrated the funeral Mass. We thank Tarrant’s Undertakers and their staff Cora and Timmie for all their professionalism and kindness. We are grateful to Millstreet GAA for the use of the GAA hall after the burial. As a mark of gratitude to you all, Mass has been offered for your intentions. First Anniversary Mass will take place on Saturday, September 5 at 6:30pm.
