Hugely popular Hero, World Olympic Champion, Brendan O’Sullivan pictured with his very happy parents, Margaret and Tom of Rathduane in the parish of Millstreet. How very proud Brendan’s parents must be of a son who so magnificently represented Ireland at world level gaining a highly prestigious World Olympic Medal in Floorball – a sport which only featured at world level for the very first time in Korea. In upper picture we view just some of the great gathering of relatives, friends and supporters who truly surprised Brendan when he arrived in the Bush Bar at 9.45 pm. We’ve lots more pictures to feature later. We thank Humphrey Hickey (of the “Bush Bar”) for alerting us in time to meet with Brendan. We also recorded an interview with the World Olympic Hero for later transmission on LTV2.Click on the pictures to enlarge. (S.R.)
