Recalling Wonderful Times in Millstreet

We thank Con Meade and Denis McSweeney for sharing this wonderful image of Coláiste Pádraig Students with Principal Garret Hickey taken at Millstreet Boys’ Secondary School in West End 1958 We thank Denis O’Sullivan of Barnes in Southwest London for kindly providing us with the exact year of the historic photo and also for indicating names of some of the Students.  When we learn the names of All we shall share.  Click on the image to enlarge.   1. Pleased to see that photo of the boys of Colaiste Padraig which would have been taken in 1958. I was one of them. I still have that photo on my wall here in Barnes in southwest London.. lt is hard to believe that it was sixty years ago. I recognise them all but putting names on them is another matter.maurice linehan, John Meade from Cullen Michael Carroll later father Carroll , Tim Goulding from Cullen , tadgh Keneally . Pat Kelly . There also was a Reagan from Ballydaly and a Moynihan from rathmore. Several boys from Millstreet town and nearby. I would like to say that we got sound education both from Garret and joe Garvey. Sadly l had to leave after two years and travelled to London where
    I still am sixty years later. Still in touch with Millstreet news.hoping some of the old boys

    1. Denis – Sincere thanks for providing us with the exact date of the photo – 1958. Also we are most grateful for learning quite a number of the Students’ names which you have kindly shared.
