On this week’s ‘Where the road takes me’, John Greene concludes his tribute to John  O’Leary, a regular contributor to the programme, who died on April 26th last at the age of 98.

This week, athletics and general sporting guru Fr. Liam Kelleher remembers a trip to Medjugorje with John. 

From the archives, John looks back on the talented politicians from all political parties, who contributed to the foundation of the State. 

And……… Did Taoiseach John A. Costello take offence to ‘Roaring Meg’  being placed close to his table at a function in Canada by a Unionist supporter in 1948, or were his words misconstrued.  We hear John O’Leary’s view on why the Irish Politician took everybody by surprise back home, when he announced the Government’s intention to repeal the ‘External Relations Act’, which would and did cut our ties with the Commonwealth. “Lunchtime Favourites” on CMS 4th July 2021 – 12.30 to 2.00pm
