The death has occurred of Paul Kelleher, Kilmeedy Lower, Millstreet, Co. Cork.Paul passed away, unexpectedly, on 13th of May 2021, at CUH, after a long illness bravely borne, after many years of tender loving care at Cahereen Nursing Home, Macroom, surrounded by his family. Beloved son of the late Michael and Noreen and brother Des. Sadly missed by his daughter Paula, brothers Danny, David, John and sister Kathy Anne (Murphy), nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, sisters in law, brother in law, relatives, friends and neighbours.

In accordance with the current government guidelines, a private Funeral Mass will take place for family and friends on Saturday at 4.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, followed by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet. Who died on the 15th May 2020

As we lovingly remember John on his first anniversary, his wife Ann, Son Dan, Daughter in Law Anne and Brother Dan Joe and extended Family wish to express our thanks to all who have sent Mass cards, floral tributes and messages of condolences.  

Thanks to Millstreet Medical Centre and the Doctors and Staff of the Mercy University Hospital.  Special thanks to our great neighbours, relatives and friends and those who stood on the road side and to Millstreet Vintage Club for the guard of honour.

Sincere thanks to Canon John Fitzgerald, Fr. Paddy O’Byrne, Sharon, our vocalist Maureen and to Seán Radley and Cork Music Station for broadcasting the funeral Mass.

Sincere thanks to David Tarrant Undertaker and his Staff for their wonderful care and professionalism.

Millstreet Meals on Wheels service

The Millstreet Meals on Wheels service is available for anyone who needs it. All food is prepared in Millstreet Day Centre & we operate the service 5 days a week. You can order a hot dinner for as many days as you like, delivered to your door from Mon-Fri for just €6 a day for the main meal & €2 for dessert.

 A variety of meals are served throughout the week and the staff will endeavour to facilitate individual tastes when preparing meals. Coeliac dinners & desserts available also. Please see our menu for next week below.

Breeda (Brigid) Kelleher (née Vaughan), Station Road, Millstreet

The death has occurred of Breeda (Brigid) Kelleher (née Vaughan), H.Dip. Midwifery/Theatre Nurse,  Coomlogane, Station Road, Millstreet, Co. Cork.

Passed away, peacefully at Cork University Hospital, late on the night of Tuesday 11th May 2021 following a short illness, surrounded by her loving family and with the support of the caring hospital staff. Predeceased by her brother Denis and sister Catherine and by her loving husband Denis Joseph (Den Joe). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, sons Timothy and Joseph, daughter Anna, daughters-in-law Sophie and Elaine, her adored grandchildren Maeve and Jonathan, her sister Mary, sister-in-law Elaine, brother-in-law Tom, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and community.

A private requiem Mass will be held on Saturday 15th May at 11am in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, followed by burial afterwards in Old Drishane Graveyard, Millstreet Town, County Cork. Due to current HSE and and government restrictions, Breeda’s funeral will take place in accordance with those limitations. Breeda’s funeral cortege will leave St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Saturday after 11am requiem mass ends travelling through Millstreet Town onwards to Old Drishane Graveyard, Millstreet Town.
