Cinema Returns to Millstreet!
The original West End Millstreet Cinema opened in 1937 and closed in 1973. This week, located in the Grounds of Green Glens beside Millstreet Community School a magnificent Mobile Cinema is in place for the benefit of the many local Schools participating in a superb project entitled “Fighting Words” where many young people experience a splendid educational workshop coordinated by an enthusiastic Team (pictured below) from national and international level. Here we see children from Derrinagree N.S. (and others) following their wonderful workshop in the Mobile Cinema. In Dublin the renowned Roddy Doyle is one of the national key motivators of this excellent project. Click on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)
