Jerry passed peacefully in University Hospital Waterford in the arms of his beloved wife, Mary.

Friday the 27th of December 2024 RIP.

Jerry will be desperately missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife, Mary, his loving and much loved children Caroline, Kathy and Jerry; his grandchildren Hannah, Harry and Hugo; his son-in-law John. His brothers and sisters Jack, Mary, Catherine and Denis. He will be sadly missed by Seán. He will be forever missed by all his extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, and many many great friends.

Jerry will be reposing at his residence, Clara Lodge, Newtown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Monday the 30th of December from 5pm to 7pm.

Jerry’s Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday 31st of December, at 1pm at the Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford, followed, later that day with a cremation at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co.Cork at 6pm. Born in Glouthane, Cullen, Co. Cork.   In addition to her parents Philip and Mary Murphy, Noreen was predeceased by her husband George Nixon and siblings Adam, and Michael Murphy, Ciss (Mary) O’Mahoney, Eileen Cremin and Elizabeth Ryan.

She is survived by her children John (Brenda) Nixon, Maureen Nixon, Nancy (Duane) Winters, Noel (Carolee) Nixon and Eileen (Kyle) Walsh; grandchildren Erin (Brandon), Brendan (Bessie), Aidan, Kerrigan, Scott (Kayla), Seán (Sarah), Evan, Garett, Liam, Caleigh and Nora (Kevin); great-grandchildren Blake and Logan; her brother Jerry Murphy and sister Helen Boyle; and many nieces and nephews.

She will be reposing on Friday November 1, 2024 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany, New York. Adored grandfather of Tiernan, Emma, Clóda, Aisling, Odhran, Ailbhe, Aoife, Raonaid, Daragh, Matt and Éabha. Sons-in-law Bart, Seán and John. Derry Horgan, Millstreet and Manchester

Derry Horgan late of Millstreet and Manchester.

  Derry was son of the late Tom and Sheila Horgan and lived in Killarney Road, Millstreet. Predeceased by his sister Margaret and brother Tommy. Educated in the local primary school, and in Coláiste Pádraig from 1958 – 1963. Having completed a B. Comm. in UCC in 1966, he went to the UK and worked in the private sector. He had great affinity with Millstreet and visited every year and renewed old acquaintances. He became unwell just before Covid and had lingered on until he passed away peacefully on Tuesday last, 8th Oct. 2024.  He is survived by wife Joan and son Patrick.
