from the Corkman on the Service to Youth Award:

Congrats to youth leaders Christopher Sheehan, Caroline Corcoran and Daniel Golden who were part of a group recognised at a function in the Wallis Arms Hotel by the Millstreet Community Council.

Their award was in recognition for the work they had put into the maintaining and development of the local youth club in Millstreet. They also have been involved in charity programmes over the last number of years. In a time where young people are receiving a lot of negative press it is uplifting to see young people who are dedicating their free time for the wellbeing and enjoyment of others.

  1. Congratulations to all the recipients of the Millstreet Community Council awards and in particular to all the Youth Leaders who received an award for services to youth, namely Christopher Sheehan (who accepted the award on behalf of the group), Caroline Corcoran, Lisa and Katie O’Callaghan, David Kelleher, Conor and Ross O’Leary, Diarmuid Murphy, Daniel Golden, Adam Buicke and Martin Healy.
Also, I would like to make special mention and say thank you to Eileen Murphy for all the hard work and dedication she put into developing the Youth Club in Millstreet and for encouraging the youth leaders to take part in the training.
