  1. I am totally in agreement with the objection of this development. It will destroy a beautiful scenic area. I cannot believe that such an ugly construction would be contemplated for this area. How can I register my objection for this development?

You can write to The Secretary, Planning Dept., Cork County Council, County Hall, Cork or use their on-line portal to object.
You must quote the reference no. 214476 and give your name and contact details.
Your objection must be accompanied by a fee of €20.00 per objection.
An objection can be from an individual or from a group of people.
    Hope this helps.

  3. I note the objections by, what appears to be, a small number of people to wind farms. I would be delighted to hear practical alternatives as the country is known as a “laggard” internationally in terms of dealing with reduction in use of fossil fuels, climate change mitigation, conservation and habitat preservation. It is easy to object and oppose, and I applaud folk who take the time and interest to do so, but it would be much more enlightening to see what practical alternatives they put forward. I would suggest more deciduous afforestation and peat bog restoration. That would mean the time of peat as a fuel is over but peat bogs are shown as a major lock on carbon storage.
