There’s a three day horse Cross Country event at Drishane this weekend starting this Friday. Admission free.

The organisers are busy behind the scenes getting ready to host the mighty Cork 20 international Car Rally which will be held from October 3-5th.

The route will be different from the last time, and details will be made known well in advance. Meanwhile down at the Green Glens which will be the nerve centre of this wonderful event, there will be something for everybody , Just the place for little boys from one to a ninety one to join in the excitement of it all, in comfortable surroundings.

So be ready to enjoy the Cork 20 International, to the full from wherever you are on those days. October 3-5.

An important notice from Al-Anon family support group: They will hold an open al-anon meeting at the Millstreet GAA Hall on Wednesday 8th of October at 8pm. If you or someone close to you is affected by any addiction this meeting will help you. All welcome, and refreshments will be served.

The organisers of the 5k walk in Carriganima on Saturday were blessed with fine weather and a fine crowd. Proceeds will be divided between Macroom and Millstreet Hospitals.

And more fundraisers on the way. Herlihys Centra Super store will host their Annual 5K walk around the Glebe on Friday October 10th.

The Jack & Jill foundation would like to thank all those who helped them to raise €1,429.28 at this year’s European Pony Championships in Millstreet.

And Willie FitzGerald would like to thank all those who supported his fundraiser in Cullen for the Bring Jamie Home fund.

And Willie wants to remind you that Music for Cullen’s Country Dancing this Saturday is by Pat Daly.

Our Pipe Band would like to thank all those who supported their Church gate, collection so generously, at the weekend.

Coffee Morning in aid of Marymount Hospice in our GAA Hall this Thursday September 25th from 9.30 to 12.30.

And don’t forget to support the ambitious drive in aid of Marymount Hospice which is ongoing around the parish at the moment, ending with a Monster Raffle for great prizes at the Pub in Carriganima on the last week of October.

An important meeting of our Community Council will be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel to-night at 9. All members please attend.

A note from Jack Roche to say that will host a Rambling House this Friday night starting at 9 at Bruaich na Carraige (in Rockchapel).

Aubane Social club invite you to their Social night on Thursday Oct. 02 commencing at 8.30 pm.

Zumba is coming to Aubane on Friday 3 October and every Friday then 8.30 -9.30 pm.7euro pay as you go.

Aubane community alert launch their text alert on Wednesday 08 Oct at 8.30pm.All are welcome.

Set Dancing has resumed at Aubane every Monday night, starting at 9.15 and all are welcome.

Our Community Singers are working hard on their CD which will be ready for the Christmas Market.

The 11th Annual Pilgrim Walk from Cill na Martra to Gougane will take place this year on Sunday, September 28th. Walkers are invited to assemble at Cronin’s Farm, Cloch Aidhneach at 8:30am sharp to ensure all will arrive in Gougane before ceremonies begin at 2pm. Fáilte is fiche roimh cách.

Numbers drawn were 5, 16, 24, 25, and the Jackpot was not won.
