Dear Millstreet,
My mother Julia Haviland is celebrating her 100th birthday on November 4th 2012. She is of the first generation of Irish American..born in United States. She is so proud of her heritage..her two brothers Jeremiah and John O’Riordan were babies when their parents Batt and Maggie (Kelliher) O’Riordan came to United States from Millstreet, and left them with their Grandmother and Aunt. It would be thrilling for my mother and our family if my she could receive a birthday card from Millstreet. We would be happy to incur any expense that it would cost for the postage and card. We are excited as her daughters to celebrate her 100th birthday and plan on attending the Gathering in 2013 . Best wishes to you from United States. Judy Scarpellino and Donna Paul
Hello, I saw your post in the ne Kelliher. My two times great grandmother ,s maiden name was that as well. I love to know more about your family. I believe her name was Margaret. Perhaps they were cousins or family. They came to settle in Massachusetts and I believe the late 1800s. Love to hear from you.

Your Mary Kelleher was daughter of Daniel Kelleher and Mary McSweeney from Aubane, close to Millstreet and her husband was Charles Daly son of John Daly and Ellen Keeffe from Liscahane. They were married in Millstreet in 1865. Their eldest daughter Ellen was born in Millstreet before they emigrated to Franklin, Ma about 1866

Noticed a clip of the 1960 N.H.L Final .Cork V Tipp.
Christy Ring was playing for Cork and he is the main focus of the camera action.There is also some footage of a Pipe Band.I wonder is that the Millstreet Pipe Band?

We had a wonderful walk at the Claragh Loop today. Thanks a million for welcoming the retired teachers’ ramblers , taking many photos, and bringing some of us to Carnegie Hall! We had delicious snacks in nearby Nibbles – what a treat!
Unfortunately, I was most upset to find my car had been damaged in the car park adjacent to the hall. Somebody had difficulty parking & my dear red152 Hyundai Ix20 has chips & rubber marks on the rear driver’s side. Perhaps the driver didn’t notice but I did. Maybe you could announce my disappointment on your radio slot tonight please?

As you indicate – perhaps the other driver was unaware of what had happened. It is our sincere hope that the situation will be resolved. Hi Millstreet, Our male german sheperd dog Brutus has gone missing from our home in the Knocknagree\Cullen area, On Wednesday 16th Of August,2023. He is mainly black with tan on his lower legs and under his tail and stomach, he has a red shock collar and a black skull one under it!
His family miss him very much, There has been sightings of a similar dog in Banteer & Mallow Reward offered for his return, PLEASE SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!
