Sr. Mary Lucey Awarded President’s Insignia of Mercy
We thank Anne O’Flynn of Drishane Road, Millstreet for sharing the wonderfully uplifting news that her sister – Sr. Mary Lucey of Rathcoole – has just been honoured in Africa with the highly prestigious President’s Insignia of Mercy Award in recognition of her very many years of truly inspiring dedication in her missionary work – especially in the field of education – in Africa. The precious award was accepted on her behalf by a Presentation Sister. Sr. Mary…known as Sr. Gregory when she once taught in Millstreet has always been such a great source of support, guidance and spiritual uplift to so many at home and abroad. She so very richly deserves this highly regarded international honour. Sincere congratulations and heartfelt thanks from everyone. Tap on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)
