The death has occurred of Robert (Bob) McConnell, Knocklyon, Dublin.

Robert (Bob) McConnell – Late of Knocklyon, Dublin 16. June 11th, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his loving wife Ann and family.

Beloved husband and best friend of Ann and much-loved brother of Barbara, June and Billy. Bob will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife, sisters, brother, sisters-in-law Pat, Jan and Meg, brother-in-law John, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May he Rest in Peace.

Funeral Mass will take place this Friday (13th June) at 11am in St. Colmcille’s Church, Knocklyon, D16 R799 followed by Cremation in Newlands Crematorium.

The death has occurred of DJ Sheehan Kilmacrane, Banteer, Cork

On June 10th, peacefully in the presence of his loving family and under the exceptional care of the the staff of Mallow General Hospital, DJ, beloved husband of Mary (née O’ Keeffe) and loving father of Dan, Laura, Rebecca and Rachel, son of the late Denis.

Sadly missed by his loving wife and children and deeply mourned by his family, mother Eileen, brother Denis, sisters Susan (Cremin) and Ursula, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunt, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís.

Reposing in Grace’s Funeral Home (P51 WDX8) on Thursday, June 12th from 7pm followed by prayers at 8.30pm. Reception into St. Joseph’s Church, Lyre on Friday, June 13th for requiem Mass at 2pm. Funeral afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Millstreet Meals on Wheels Service

The Millstreet Meals on Wheels service is available for the elderly & isolated in the Millstreet catchment area. All food is prepared in Millstreet Day Centre & we operate the service 5 days a week. You can order a hot dinner for as many days as you like, delivered to your door from Mon-Fri for just €6 a day for the main meal & €2 for dessert.

 A variety of meals are served throughout the week and the staff will endeavour to facilitate individual tastes when preparing meals. Coeliac dinners & desserts available also. Please see our menu for next week below.
