To celebrate Family time in the library, Millstreet Library are delighted to host a Children’s Christmas Craft Workshop on Saturday 17^th December at 3 00 pm – 4 00 pm.  The Library invites parents along with their children to create a wonderful Christmas Angel Tree Decoration using pages from a withdrawn library book.  This craft workshop is suitable for 5 yrs + .

Booking is essential as spaces are limited.

ust a reminder that our Creative Writing Group meets tomorrow at 11 am in Millstreet Library.

Matthew Geden our writer in residence will be leading the group this year.  Anyone with an interest in writing please come along as this is a great opportunity.

 Do you love to write? Want to try? Fiction, poetry, it matters not.  Do you want feedback on your ideas & to improve your writing skills? Join the Creative Writing Group where you will meet informally to talk about your writings, improve your skills, & to offer encouragement to one another.

“Make One Change” Cork County Cuts Carbon

Join us in Millstreet Library Tuesday 15^th November at 2 – 3 pm to explore ways to make positive changes for you & the environment.  James O’Donovan is an engineer & environmental educator who runs climate & biodiversity workshops in CEF’s outreach & educational programmes.

In this workshop he will be exploring enablers & barriers to make change & what you can do now that will be good for you & also for the environment.

The theme for our 2023 calendar is ‘Our Library: A welcome for all’

Millstreet Library would like to set up an “Age Friendly Group” (55+ years) in the library who would meet up on the last Friday of every month at 11 00 am.  This would be an informal gathering & give people (55+ years) the opportunity to meet for a chat/ tell a story/ do a quiz/ jigsaw puzzle/ game of cards or even if you wanted to sing a song!

First meeting will take place Friday, 30^th September 2022 at 11 00 am.
