Millstreet Pipe Band are looking for new members & are having a Registration Night on Friday 26th September at 8p.m. at their band room. (This is at the back of Carnegie Hall in Millstreet, access from car park)
– The band are looking for young people, 5th & 6th class upwards, adults & returning members to join the Pipe Band.
– They play at local events & national events such as Munster GAA Finals, Duhallow Finals, the Rose of Tralee & Beál na Bláth.
– The Pipe Band also gives people the opportunity to meet people of all ages from other pipe bands, to play at piping & drumming workshops, to be part of a Munster Youth Band & to play at Massed Band events.
– There is an initial once off cost of €30 to cover a Pipe chanter or drumsticks & drumpad. Tuition, Uniforms, Bagpipes & Drums, transport to events etc are all paid for by the Pipe Band.
– Band Practice for new members is on Friday night at 7.00p.m for bagpipers & drummers but can be flexible where necessary.
