Coordinated by Millstreet INTO – and very especially by Joan O’Mahony and Con Meade – a truly impressive Presentation Ceremony took place on Tuesday, 29th May 2018 at Café Aroma, Minor Row, Millstreet to honour Susan O’Connor and Mary Lynch who following many dedicated years of teaching at Rathcoole N.S. recently retired. Mary Magner representating the national INTO also addressed the large gathering of Teachers. Accompanying the Retiring Teachers were their husbands Gerry and Der. Noreen, Joan and Staff of Café Aroma prepared a magnificent banquet of delicious food and drinks for the special occasion. Here we share a selection of images which will help to give an idea of the wonderful atmosphere – joyful, relaxing and uplifting where superbly witty addresses by Joan, Mary (Magner), Mary (Lynch) and Susan were delivered. Susan was a classmate of mine “ back in the day” in the Convent and in the Community School. She was an absolute lady even back then when the rest of us didn’t know the meaning of the word!!
