At Millstreet Community School on Thursday, 22nd Oct. 2020 a surprise celebratory event marking the retirement of wonderfully dedicated Teacher, Mary Randles was organised by Principal, Pól Ó Síodhcháin & Staff. Mary has spent almost four decades as Teacher supreme mainly at Millstreet Community School where she had also been a Student herself. The joyful occasion took place mainly online where many logged in from their own homes. Teacher Jennifer O’Donoghue paid a splendid tribute to Mary as did Pól and Barry and Deputy Principal Frances and two Students. We thank Teacher, Chris Horan for sharing four images recorded in the School showing the presentation of beautiful gifts to Mary including superb Artwork pottery and Painting by Artist Barry Fraser. Drivers of Millstreet Depot of Lucey Transport Ltd. assembled at the Macroom Road Centre on Saturday afternoon, 6th April 2019 to make a special presentation to the very popular Donal Barry of Boherbue on his recent retirement after 45 years of wonderfully dedicated service at Lucey Transport Ltd., Millstreet. Following some very witty sincere speeches the group enjoyed refreshments at Café Aroma at Minor Row, Millstreet. Marking 32 years of supreme dedication at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Millstreet a very special Retirement Reception was held on the evening of Friday, 16th Nov. 2018 at Corkery’s Bar, West End, Millstreet to honour Joan Collins on her retirement. Staff members enjoyed a splendid occasion during which the very popular Joan was made a number of presentations with many words of great praise delivered. We wish Joan a very Happy, Healthy and Fulfilling Retirement following her inspiring work for the past 32 years at the Hospital. Here we share a selection of images from the magnificent reception.
