Their was a great turnout earlier today at The Wallis Arms Hotel in Millstreet for the Millstreet Vintage Club Cars Coffee Chat Morning which was held in aid of Marymount Hospice. The Vintage Club would like to thank everybody that attended the event and for their fantastic support and generosity on the day. Daniel Lane of Millstreet Vintage Club who coordinated the event was delighted with the turnout with in excess of 40 Vintage and Classic Cars/Bikes making the trip to Millstreet for what was a most enjoyable days proceedings. The Club would also like to thank Billy, Nigel, and all the Team at the Wallis Arms for all their help and for providing a great venue, and Daniel Lane also wishes to thank the Vintage Club Members and Friends who helped on both the lead up to the event and on the day itself. Also, many thanks to An Garda Síochána for their help and to the photographers and members of the local press who attended on the day to promote the proceedings for both Millstreet Vintage Club and Marymount Hospice. A final figure from the Coffee Morning will be released soon which will be then presented by Millstreet Vintage Club to Marymount Hospice in the very near future.

Gardai at Millstreet Garda Station,would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people of Millstreet and the surrounding areas for their overwhelming generosity at the Annual Coffee Morning in aid of Marymount Hospice. The total amount raised was €1483. Thanks to Sean Radley for advertising this fundraiser which is a cause close to everybody’s heart.

As the generosity of the local businesses and community was so great during the fundraising efforts for my volunteering in India, it allowed other donations to be made to two other very worthy causes Marymount Hospice and Millstreet Community Hospital. €910 has been donated to both (pictures below).
I shall send updates during my 10 weeks of volunteering. I have received my itinerary for the first four weeks and I shall be teaching a class of 30 kids in Palampur aged between 10 -15 yrs. I will be teaching English, mathematics, general knowledge and sports to them.
Again a massive thank you to everyone who helped out, took part and donated to these volunteering efforts – Celina.

Let’s observe some 24 more pictures from the uplifting occasion and we salute especially “the two kind gentlemen” from the organising committee who truly gave 150% of their time and skill to the overall inspiring project. Tonight (Friday, 24th Oct. 2014) is the true culmination of the dedicated fundraising project. It’s a night a celebrate the great kindness of the many generous people who contributed to the Marymount Ticket Project and a celebration also of the many who gave some truly excellent spot prizes. Canon John Fitzgerald, P.P., Millstreet will be celebrating a special Mass for all involved on Wednesday, 5th November 2014 at 10.00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. Do join us in Carriganima tonight if you get an opportunity. “The Group of Kind Gentlemen” who have coordinated this amazing project are so thrilled to have not only reached their intended target of some €5,000.00 but have gone well, well beyond. The Coordinators of the Marymount Fundraising Project are enthusiastically bringing their great efforts to an uplifting conclusion for the next few days as the Grand Draw takes place in The Pub in Carriganima this Friday night.
