News yesterday that the Green Glens Arena in Millstreet, has won the bid to host the 2014 European Pony Championships (for Jumping, Dressage and Eventing) from 16-20 of July. Two other venues were in the running: Dzonkow (Poland), and Wiener Neustadt (Austria). The decision was made at the 2013 FEI General Assembly on 4 November 2013.
Once again the Owners, Pony and Young Riders Charity Show will be guests of the Duggan Family at the Green Glens Arena, their home for the last 15 years, this weekend Friday 25th October to Sunday 27th October, and they look forward to seeing as many friends of the show as possible, both new & old. Dairy Farmers are at a crossroads as the 2015 post quota era approaches fast. There is free advice available at the National Dairy Show this Saturday in the Green Glens Arena, Millstreet, Co. Cork. Millstreet Horse Show has been in full flow all week, and bigger than ever. Their website and Facebook page has lots of updates this week with all the fixtures, results, results, information, photos, videos and more too see. Check them out, or better still go and see for yourself at Green Glens before it finishes tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon!
To get us in the mood for the 2013 Cork 20 Rally which will be based in Millstreet for the first time ever this year we take a look back at footage from some previous Cork 20 Rallies that have been held over the years to see what we have in store for us in Millstreet with the arrival of this event in October.
This time we go back to the 2000 Cork 20 Rally which had some great competitors competing in it like Andrew Nesbitt, the late Frank Meagher,the legendary Austin Mchale and Ian Greer amongst others,the rally was won that year by Andrew Nesbitt in his WRC Subaru so enjoy some classic footage from what was a very entertaining event.
Over the coming few weeks/months we will feature more Cork 20 footage from years gone by in a build up to what will be a Major Event for Millstreet to be held on 4th, 5th & 6th October 2013.
